Their only notable international hit, "Narcotic", was first released on a demo in 1996 and sold over 700.000 units when Virgin Records re-released it in 1998. Since then, Liquido hasn't been able to repeat this success, which led to a split from Virgin after two unsuccessful albums in 2004 and finally to the breakup of the band in 2009.
Tim Eiermann is known to be founding member of Death/Doom Metal act Pyogenesis, which released its first EP Ignis Creatio in 1992 through Osmose Productions. Wolle Maier also played in Pyogenesis.
Shoot Me I'M A Fool
Liquido Lyrics

Refrain
To kill the beast in chains
Is it dead
On time
Or never been alive
Is it pokin' through your eyes?
Will come
When all the realms have gone
Is it you?
And I
Will be king
After all
And suffocate no more
Getting high
On your glance
On every tinsel shine
Shoot me, I'm a fool
That's all I ask you to
That's all I ask of you
Of you
You
Restrain
From all we could have changed
Was it meant
To fail
With all those rusty nails
Was it senseless in your mind
And I
Close my eyes
I got home
I feel that I'm alive
Like a moth
Towards the light
That has not completely died
Shoot me, I'm a fool
That's all I ask you to
That's all I ask of you
Of you
It's up to you
Shoot me, I'm a fool
That's all I ask you to
That's all I ask of you
Of you
Of you
You
Shoot me I'm a fool
That's all I ask you to
That's all I ask of you
Of you
In the lyrics of Liquido's song "Shoot Me I'm A Fool", the opening refrain is about killing the beast in chains. The metaphorical beast here may refer to the feelings of restraint and suffocation that the singer is experiencing. The lines "Is it dead? On time? Or never been alive? Is it pokin' through your eyes?" suggest that these feelings are deeply rooted in the psyche and affect the way the singer sees the world.
In the next stanza, the lyrics talk about what happens after "all the realms have gone". Here, the singer seems to be questioning the meaning and purpose of life, wondering if it is "you" who will be king after all. The phrase "And suffocate no more" infers that the singer wants to break free from the constraints of reality and just be. The line "Getting high on your glance, on every tinsel shine" suggests that the singer finds happiness in simple things like a glance or a shiny object.
The chorus of the song is an invitation to be shot. "Shoot me, I'm a fool. That's all I ask you to. That's all I ask of you, of you." The singer is using the metaphor of being shot to symbolize a release from the self-imposed chains of restraint, suffocation, and feeling like a fool. The lyrics implore the listener to shoot the singer, to free him from the burdens that are holding him back.
