During the semi-finals, she did a sultry, soulful rendition of Rufus and Chaka Khan's "Sweet Thing." When she wasn't selected by viewers to move on to the finals, she came out onto the stage to face the judges. She was then one of four contestants instantly dismissed, not allowed to perform in the wild card round, despite several lesser-talented, cooler-received singers allowed to remain and compete. Years later, she remains one of the most talked about, best remembered, most lamented American Idol "rejects."
