Lisa Miskovsky quickly placed herself on the Swedish rock music charts with her debut album Lisa Miskovsky and single Driving one of your cars with Swedish releases in 2001. Following this release, she received two Swedish Rock Bear awards; one for Best Swedish Newcomer, and the other for Best Swedish Female Artist of the Year.
She followed up her musical success forcefully with the album Fallingwater, released in 2003, quickly climbing to the very number one spots of Swedish pop charts, even reaching platinum sales. The album's success came greatly from two of its songs Lady Stardust and Sing To Me which both became hits.
Lisa´s third album was called Changes and it was released in august 2006. It sold gold after a couple of months and the singles Mary and Sweet Misery became both hits. Lisa received two Swedish Rock Bear awards, for Best Swedish Female Artist of 2006 and for Best Album 2006.
Some of her music was directed by Joakim Berg, also known as a songwriter for the Swedish rock band Kent, and Simon Nordberg.
Miskovsky is a songwriter as well as a singer and musician, and wrote the lyrics to Shape of My Heart, performed by Backstreet Boys.
Miskovsky contributed vocals to the track Dead End on Come Clarity, the 2006 release from Swedish melodic death metal outfit In Flames. However, she does not actually appear in the band's special edition DVD included in Come Clarity. Instead she appears as "Her body double, 'the Mexican'", who is just a man in the studio with In Flames who sings her parts.
She has recently worked with EA/DICE on the title track Still Alive for the video game Mirrors Edge.
Besides the music, Miskovsky enjoys snowboarding, to the point of participating in the Swedish national snowboard team, and she's also known to be fond of ice hockey as well as surfing.

Lisa Miskovsky Lyrics

Don't look down 'cause it's ready to show
You had a choice but the apple fell too far from the tree
Change, change come on it is too late
You started praying when you lost your faith
Nobody's waiting and it's quiet down by the gate
Please, please
Be there waiting in the tunnel by the end of the light
The train is leaving and nobody knows
So lift your veil so I can see who's chasing me
Somebody loved you but that somebody's gone
You wait for darkness but you long for the dawn
It's right beside you but your lips are too dry for words
Please, please
Be there waiting in the tunnel by the end of the light
When you run the chase has begun
Hey now look into her eyes and
Tell me that you don't believe what i see
Hey now don't go hiding your emotions
I know you'll go further and I can't stop you
Please
In the first verse of Lisa Miskovsky's song Please, she warns against looking back and down when one's kingdom glows because it is the time to shine and not to be distracted. While one had a choice, perhaps a reference to the biblical Adam and Eve's disobedience, the apple fell too far from the tree. Lisa then implores her listener to change because it is not too late yet. She notes that when someone loses their faith, they only start to pray, but it's usually after they've lost it. Nobody is waiting, and there's quiet down by the gate, a reference to the biblical parables of the Ten Virgins and the Rich Fool, where it's highlighted that one should always be prepared because nobody knows the time of the Lord's return. Therefore, Lisa urges her listener to please be there waiting in the tunnel by the end of the light.
In the second verse, Lisa refers to the uncertainty of life and how some people wait for darkness and yet long for daylight, which is right beside them. Nobody knows what will happen when the whistle blows and the train leaves. So, she entreats her listener to lift their veil so she can see who's chasing her. She notes that someone loved them but that person is gone. Lisa observes that when one run, the chase has already begun. She then insists that her listener looks into her eyes and tells her that they don't believe what she sees, and not to hide their emotions. Lisa knows that her listener will go further, and she can't stop them.
Overall, Please is a plea to the listener to be prepared, make the right choices, and be in the right place at the right time. The lyrics have religious undertones and urge one to be prepared because nobody knows the time of the Lord's return.
