Lisa Miskovsky quickly placed herself on the Swedish rock music charts with her debut album Lisa Miskovsky and single Driving one of your cars with Swedish releases in 2001. Following this release, she received two Swedish Rock Bear awards; one for Best Swedish Newcomer, and the other for Best Swedish Female Artist of the Year.
She followed up her musical success forcefully with the album Fallingwater, released in 2003, quickly climbing to the very number one spots of Swedish pop charts, even reaching platinum sales. The album's success came greatly from two of its songs Lady Stardust and Sing To Me which both became hits.
Lisa´s third album was called Changes and it was released in august 2006. It sold gold after a couple of months and the singles Mary and Sweet Misery became both hits. Lisa received two Swedish Rock Bear awards, for Best Swedish Female Artist of 2006 and for Best Album 2006.
Some of her music was directed by Joakim Berg, also known as a songwriter for the Swedish rock band Kent, and Simon Nordberg.
Miskovsky is a songwriter as well as a singer and musician, and wrote the lyrics to Shape of My Heart, performed by Backstreet Boys.
Miskovsky contributed vocals to the track Dead End on Come Clarity, the 2006 release from Swedish melodic death metal outfit In Flames. However, she does not actually appear in the band's special edition DVD included in Come Clarity. Instead she appears as "Her body double, 'the Mexican'", who is just a man in the studio with In Flames who sings her parts.
She has recently worked with EA/DICE on the title track Still Alive for the video game Mirrors Edge.
Besides the music, Miskovsky enjoys snowboarding, to the point of participating in the Swedish national snowboard team, and she's also known to be fond of ice hockey as well as surfing.

What If
Lisa Miskovsky Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Walking alone spending time
Like I spend money on home beer
I used to be that way
Expected to much I guess,
To get me out of this mess
So come on now,
Let's catch an airplane, fly
Trouble will stay out of site
What if the plane crashed down
What if the sky grows too dark
Will you ever see the spark?
What if the wind's to strong
What if the pilot does something wrong
Bent once now I'm sore
I rather stay outside
And have fun by opening doors
I used to be that way
Expected too much I guess,
To get me out of this mess
So come on now, let's catch an airplane, fly
Don't be afraid trouble will stay out of site
What if the plane crashed down
What if the sky grows too dark
Will you ever see the spark?
What if the wind's too strong
What if the pilot does something wrong
Your so, your so afraid my baby
And love I will be there, I will be there
What if the plane crashed down
What if the plane crashed down
What if the sky grows too dark
Will you ever see the spark?
What if the wind's to strong
What if the pilot does something wrong
What if the plane crashed down
What if the sky grows too dark
Will you ever see the spark?
What if the wind's too strong
What if the pilot does something wrong
What if the plane crashed down
What if the sky grows too dark
Will you ever see the spark?
What if the wind's too strong
What if the pilot does something wrong
The song "What If" by Lisa Miskovsky is about taking risks in life and overcoming fear. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been alone for too long, spending time in isolation and not taking chances. The line "Expected too much I guess, to get me out of this mess" implies that the singer has been waiting for something or someone to rescue them from their situation, but now realizes they must take action themselves.
The chorus "What if the plane crashed down, what if the sky grows too dark, will you ever see the spark?" highlights the fear of taking risks and facing the unknown. The idea of the plane crashing down represents the fear of failure and the potential consequences. However, the repeated line "Don't be afraid, trouble will stay out of sight" suggests that it is important to take risks and that the rewards can be worth it.
The final lines "You're so, you're so afraid my baby, and love I will be there, I will be there" reinforce the idea that the singer is addressing someone who is scared and needs support. The message of the song is that it is important to face fears and take chances, and that there will be someone there to support and love you through the ups and downs.
