The lyrics to "So Danco Samba" by Lisa Ono are a representation of the joy and rhythm that comes with samba dancing. The repetition of "só danço samba" in the lyrics is a nod to the idea that once you start samba dancing, it's hard to stop. The word "só" translates to "only" or "just," which in the context of the song emphasizes the exclusivity of samba dancing. The song is also about the singer's fatigue with other popular dances such as the twist, calipso, and chá chá chá, further underscoring the idea that samba is the only dance worth doing.
The upbeat and lively nature of the song is also reflective of the culture surrounding samba dancing. Samba music is rooted in Brazil and has been around for over 100 years. It is also a part of the larger samba culture, which is characterized by lively music, energetic dance, and colorful costumes. Through the repetition of the phrase "vai, vai, vai," the song encourages the listener to join in on the fun and excitement of the samba dance.

God bless Napster. Can we not -- in retrospect -- praise it now for all the artists we otherwise would never have heard without it? The record industry was never going to lead us to her; we had to find artists like this ourselves. It's where I first heard Ono and then explored more of her songs.
