Água
Lisandro Aristimuño Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics of Lisandro Aristimuño's Agua paint a vivid picture of flowing water that encompasses the connection between human beings and the beauty of nature. The song is rich in metaphors, and it speaks about the flow of life, the emotional connections between humans, and the relationship between water and the human soul. The opening line "Fuga, se abre el agua en dos" can be interpreted as life's unexpected turn of events, where one might have to find a new path to forge ahead. The imagery of the "Caño que se quiebra lento" suggests that sometimes, life leads one towards a crumbling path that is challenging to navigate.
The song also speaks about the power of the human gaze, as it observes the soul's desire for a sense of belonging and purpose. The line that says "¿Y qué es lo que hacen tus ojos cuando al alma le falta el lugar?" implies that sometimes, the human eyes see beyond the material things on earth and connect with a deeper spiritual force. The chorus evokes the sense of water as the binding force between two places or two people, as seen in the line "El agua que une mi casa por la cañería," meaning the water that connects my house to yours through the pipes.
Overall, the song Agua is a poetic masterpiece that communicates the beauty of nature and its connection to the human emotion in a unique and profound way.
