1. The British hard-rock outfit Little Angels formed in Scarborough, England in 1987 while its members -- vocalist/guitarist Toby Jepson, keyboardist Jimmy Dickinson, his guitarist brother Bruce John Dickinson, bassist Mark Plunkett and drummer Dave Hopper -- were all attending university.
At the outset, the group was forced to hone their craft primarily in area schools, as Jimmy Dickinson was too young to play clubs. Originally dubbed Mr. Thrud, Little Angels issued their debut mini-LP Too Posh to Mosh (recorded with new drummer Michael Lee in 1987.
After winning a loyal following on the strength of their live performances, including an opening set for a then-unknown Guns 'N' Roses, they were signed to Polydor, releasing the full-length Don't Prey for Me in 1989. Produced by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero, 1991's Young Gods attempted to break Little Angels in America, a move which proved unsuccessful. Mark Richardson joined the band on drums in time for their third album, Jam, Still, the group's fanbase at home continued to grow, and 1993's Jam even debuted at the top of the British charts. To the surprise of many, Little Angels then disbanded, with the 1994 release of the retrospective Little of the Past marking their passing. The Dickinsons later resurfaced in b.l.o.w.
Lead vocalist Toby Jepson now sings for Scottish rockers - GUN! Jepson also has released 2 EP's with a view to doing a 3rd this coming summer.

You'll never get a life with your long hair'
I ain't cut out for no suit and no tie,
And that's the way that I'll live
And the way that I'll die,
Way that I live,
Way that I'll die
There ain't no better
Way that I live
Way that I'll die
C'mon step around me
Step around me.
I choose my clothes 'cause I like the way they look,
Won't get caught up on no fashion hook
Won't eat that same old stuff when I want a slice of pie
And that's the way that I live
And the way that I'll die
Say what I like 'cause I mean what I say
Bow down to no tin god to help me on my way
You can't sell me anything I ain't willing to buy
And that's the way that I live
And the way that I die.
(gonna live before I die 'cause I'm a long time gone)
The lyrics of Little Angels's song "The Way That I Live" talk about the singer's determination to live life on their own terms, even if it means that they won't fit into society's predefined norms. The song starts with the singer's mom advising him that his long hair will not get him anywhere in life. However, the singer is not interested in conforming to traditional dress codes, opting to wear clothes that make him feel comfortable and happy. Similarly, he refuses to conform to conventional eating habits, choosing to indulge in his preferences like having a slice of pie when he wants.
Furthermore, the singer is an independent thinker who refuses to be swayed by pressure from organized religion or advertising. The lyrics suggest that he is not intimidated by any deity or marketing tactics. Instead, he is committed to living life authentically and refusing to compromise his values.
The song's chorus - "Way that I live, Way that I'll die, There ain't no better" - summarizes the singer's way of life, emphasizing his pride in his choices and his determination to stay true to himself. The song's final line - "gonna live before I die 'cause I'm a long time gone" - echoes this sentiment, stressing the singer's desire to live life fully and on his terms.
