You Oughta Be In Pictures
Little Jack Little Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You oughta be in pictures,
You're wonderful to see,
You oughta be in pictures,
Oh what a hit you would be!
Your voice would thrill a nation,
Your face would be adored,
You'd make a great sensation
with wealth and fame your reward;
And if you should kiss the way you kiss,
When we're alone,
You'd make ev'ry girl and man
A fan worshiping at your throne.
You oughta shine as brightly
As Jupiter and Mars;

You oughta be in pictures,
My star of stars.

Lovely melody from Dana Suesse when all of America was Hollywood inspired! The flattering lyric spun more glamor than a whole Marlene Deitrich picture! Jack croons it handsomely! Such a happy tune to cheer everyone in that year of the dastardly dust bowl. The more I play this, the more I think I gotta chance to be on American Idol! 😊 🎵

Listening to this for the first time, the Nicholas brothers come to mind and wonder how they would've handled the dance. ☺️

High Hopes

Try playing it at 1.25 speed, it seems to sound better to me at that slightly faster speed.
