They were the first group to win the competition, and following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. The group are known for their strong vocals and signature harmonies, as well as their representation of female empowerment and unity.
Having sold 70M records worldwide, they're now the 3rd biggest girl group of all time. Little Mix has proven multiple times that they're one of the most talented and hardworking artists in the industry. They made history in 2021 as the first female girl group to have won the Brit for 'Best Group'.
The group is currently on hiatus to focus on themselves and work on solo careers. A comeback with more music as a trio has been promised by all three of the girls for the future.

I'm cold when I wake cause I won't feel you
When I can't breathe I know it's you
Got a lump in my throat just thinking of you
Makes no difference you've been tried
(Makes no difference you've been tried)
Still sick inside, oh oh
But I think we're going down (we're going down)
Got your fingerprints as evidence all on my body
Put your right hand on the book and you were found guilty
I can't wait forever but that's how it's gonna be
For me they'll never be
Case closed
No matter what the verdict say
Case closed
Too many questions in my head
Case closed
And I'm still waiting for a while
Why there can never be
Case closed
Behind these walls, so tall
I don't wanna climb, I'm afraid to fall
So we both do time and never have closure cause I still wanna hold ya
Makes no difference you've been tried
(Makes no difference you've been tried)
Still sick inside, oh oh
It's meant to be over now
But I think we're going down (we're going down)
Got your fingerprints as evidence all on my body
Put your right hand on the book and you were found guilty
I can't wait forever but that's how it's gonna be
For me they'll never be
Case closed
No matter what the verdict say
Case closed
Too many questions in my head
Case closed
And I'm still waiting for a while
Why there can never be
They can never, never be a
Never be a
Never, never be a
Case closed
They can never, never be a
Never, be a
Never, never be a
Case closed
Got your fingerprints as evidence all on my body
Put your right hand on the book and you were found guilty
I can't wait forever but that's how it's gonna be
For me they'll never be
Case closed
No matter what the verdict say
Case closed
Too many questions in my head
Case closed
And I'm still waiting for a while
Why there can never be

The song "Case Closed" by Little Mix is a beautifully melancholic ballad about a relationship that has ended, but the emotional connection between the two individuals involved hasn't fully dissipated. The song talks about the singer being unable to move on from the relationship, even though it is over, speaking to the idea that sometimes we hold onto the emotional memories of a relationship even after it has ended. The lyrics of the song are quite poignant, and the impassioned vocals by the members of the group make the song truly heartbreaking.
In the opening verse, the singer sings about the memories of her former partner that still haunt her, even when she is asleep. She talks about feeling cold when she wakes up because she can no longer feel his presence. The song implies that she's been struggling to forget about him and move on with her life, but she can't seem to shake him off. That's why she feels a lump in her throat just thinking about him. The chorus echoes this feeling of emotional captivity, with its refrain of "Case closed, no matter what the verdict say," as though the situation is entirely out of her control.
The second verse of the song alludes to the idea that both individuals involved in the relationship are unable to move on. They are both "doing time" because they can't seem to free themselves from the emotional weight of the relationship. The song ends with the refrain of "Case closed," suggesting that the singer knows that the relationship is over, even though she's unable to move on from it.
