Damn. Remembered that my 6th-grade teacher showed us this music video 6 years ago during one of the earlier days of our school year. Told us to enjoy the artistry and creativity of the video and give our interpretations of what went on. While I never necessarily understood the meaning or symbolism of the video (and probably never really will), this song and music video has stuck with me throughout middle school and now into my senior year of high school.
While I have a completely different perception of this now than I did six years ago, it's a rather deep and invigorating little brain-candy that still, to this day, leaves me curious to the story behind it all. Honestly, this is something entirely different and unique to the songs that I've listened to and enjoyed, but this just sticks out. Not my favorite nor my most hated, not the most emotional or significant- there's something just so mystical about it all.
Thank you, to my 6th-grade English teacher, Mr. Werner, for introducing me to this, for it has perplexed me for 6 years and likely will continue to perplex me further as I journey out into a life full of shrouded mystery and danger.
