Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Come back tomorrow night and try it again
You said you love me and you can't come in
You said you love me and you can't come in
You said you love me and you can't come in
Come back tomorrow night and try it again.
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Come back tomorrow night and try it again
You said you love me and you can't come in
You said you love me and you can't come in
You said you love me and you can't come in
Come back tomorrow night and try it again
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Keep a knockin' but you can't come in
Come back tomorrow night and try it again
You said you love me and you can't come in
You said you love me and you can't come in

You said you love me and you can't come in
Come back tomorrow night and try it again

Overall Meaning

"Keep On Knockin'" is a classic rock 'n' roll song that was written and recorded by Little Richard in 1957. The lyrics describe a person who is outside the singer's door and is continually knocking, but is not allowed to come in. The song is thought to be about Little Richard's strict religious upbringing, which prohibited him from indulging in worldly pleasures, including sexual relationships.

The refrain of "Keep a knockin' but you can't come in" is repeated throughout the song and represents the strict barrier between Little Richard's religious beliefs and the temptations of the outside world. In this sense, the knocking becomes symbolic of the struggle between sin and redemption that is central to many religious traditions. By denying the person entry, Little Richard is affirming his commitment to his faith and his refusal to be tempted by earthly desires.

The line "you said you love me and you can't come in" could be interpreted as a rejection of love or intimacy, or it could be seen as a rejection of those who claim to love Little Richard but cannot accept his devotion to his faith. The message of the song is ultimately based on a belief in the power of self-control and discipline in the face of temptation.

With that tune he was already a pioneer of speedmetal. And whoever cannot feel this just because of the rock'n'roll arrangement they are not able to listen beyond can go suck my ass - but make it fast!

Little Richard is a once in a lifetime talent. He was a black guy performing in deep south humping the piano kicking over his chair songs like this coming in with crushing drum lines while hes screaming in the mic. He changed music and how it is perceived. In my opinion he is the real king of rock n roll. Legends never die.

@dannielleking2657

He's dead now
