Sunny and the Sunglows
Talk to me
Talk to me
Ooo I love the things you say
Talk to me
Talk to me In your own
Sweet gentle way
Let me hear
Tell me dear
Tell me oooo
You love me so
Talk to me
Talk to me
Tell me what
I want to know
The many ways
You speak of love
I've heard before
But it sounds so good
Everytime
Please say the one part
I love once more
Talk to me
Talk to me
Hold me close
Whisper low
Talk to me
Baby can't you see
Oh darlin I
I love you so
The song "Talk to Me" by Sunny and the Sunglows is a sweet and romantic plea from the singer to their lover to communicate with them in their own gentle way. The opening line, "Talk to me, talk to me," immediately establishes the theme of the song and the importance of communication in relationships. The singer expresses their love for the things their partner says, and implores them to continue speaking in their sweet and gentle way. The repetition of the phrase "Talk to me" throughout the song reinforces the central message, which is the need for communication and connection between two people in love.
The sentimentality of the lyrics is also conveyed through the use of words like "dear" and "darling," which emphasize the intimacy and tenderness of the relationship. The singer asks their partner to tell them that they love them, and to share with them the many ways they speak of love. Although the singer acknowledges that they have heard these sentiments before, they find comfort in the fact that they still sound good every time they're expressed. In the end, the singer implores their lover to hold them close and whisper low, underscoring the importance of physical touch and emotional intimacy in relationships.
Overall, "Talk to Me" is a simple but powerful love song that celebrates the importance of communication and connection between two people in love.

I'm straight up old school and remember the romantic moods in songs back then in 1958. I was not even 10 but I loved this kind of music. Listening to this song now, it is certainly one of the 1st baby-making songs 😆. I used to stay in Michigan during the Summer, and splitting my time between my Uncle and my first cousin who lived a few miles away. I will never forget how much her husband loved her and this record. He was a kind and sweet working man who also loved his little "dranks".
On Saturdays he would put this on and move his feet like he was slow dancing and my sister and my cousin would crack up. I was a young adult when he died and I cried like a baby.
Suffice to say that when I hear this song I cry a little and remember how beautiful Michigan was in those rural areas of peace and kindness and how I loved Little Willie John and his sister Mabel John. They. were friends with Gordy
