I’m a musician and composer from northern Norway, currently living in Oslo. In 2020 i finished my degree in jazz and improvised music from the Norwegian Academy of Music, and since then I’ve been an active musician on the Norwegian scene. My main focus has been on my own projects, presented on this site, but I have also been lucky to play with so many great musicians, among others Ane Brun and Solveig Slettahjell. I have also written a lot of music the past years, both for big bands, woodwind trio, string orchestra and symphony orchestra. Improvisation is an important aspect of my music, and in my trio we always play without set list to make room for initiativ, creativity and improvisation in the moment. In February this year I had the honour to perform new music at the opening of Bodø24 - European capital of culture, written for my trio, three vocalists and full symphony orchestra. This, and releasing the album "Ville blomster" with my trio the same month, have been two of the highlights so far this year.

Everyone's moving
You're in the middle, watching it happen Saying that you feel strange
That you don't like change
You want life to stay the same
I don't feel that way at all
Cause, my love is changingMy love is growing
You're standing still, just watching it happen Scared you will lose control
If we get to close
Still you tell me not to leave you
(You) feel again
You lose again
You try again
To love again
You fall - over and over again
You leave again
You're free again
You come back again
And I hope again
Always again, again and again
It's always again, again and again
Still remember what you said that day in June
It was warm outside
The sun made you smile
The first part of the lyrics describes a situation where everything and everyone is changing, but one person is hesitant to embrace that change. They are feeling uncomfortable and do not like the idea of things not staying the same. In contrast, the other person in the dynamic expresses that their love is evolving and growing, while the hesitant individual remains still, afraid of losing control if they let the relationship develop too closely. Despite this fear, they plead for the other person not to leave them.
The second part of the lyrics delves into a cycle of emotions and actions that the hesitant person goes through repeatedly. They feel, lose, try, love, fall, leave, and then find themselves free again, only to come back to the same pattern. Despite this back and forth, there is a sense of hope and a continuous cycle of trying again and again. The repetition of the phrase "Always again, again and again” emphasizes the recurring nature of these emotions and actions in their relationship.
The final part of the lyrics reflects on a specific memory, possibly a moment of vulnerability shared between the two individuals. The reference to a warm day in June where the sun made the hesitant person smile suggests a bittersweet recollection of a past moment of happiness and connection. This memory serves as a contrast to the ongoing struggle with change and emotional turmoil in their relationship, highlighting a sense of nostalgia and longing for simpler, happier times.
Overall, the lyrics depict a complex dynamic between two individuals, where one is resistant to change and struggles with emotional vulnerability, while the other experiences personal growth and evolution in their feelings. The cycle of emotions and actions portrayed in the song reflects the ongoing challenges and hopes within their relationship, with a mix of uncertainty, fear, and a longing for connection and stability amidst the changes and repeated patterns.
