Waves of Green
Liv Kristine Lyrics

Into these silent waves of all times - eternally
How long may this remain
Peace to the land
Nature and sea
Silent emotions are overcome
I wonder how
We can go on
Do we still care
What future holds
So many words been said undone
The waves of green
They will flow on
Heal me, free me - dawning is near
Where is the saviour - for us to believe
As I sit here - on Norge's shores
Cries of the unheard - will they be heard
The waves of green - whispering my name
[Verse 1] The opening verse describes the singer watching the tides wash to the shore and reflecting on eternity as the countless waves come in and out. The singer wonders how long this peaceful scene will remain, and how long nature and the sea can hold on. The emotions that are felt in silence are briefly mentioned before the singer enters into a moment of self-reflection, pondering how humanity can continue forward. Stormy times are expected, but the singer wonders if anyone still cares or knows what the future holds. The last line of the verse is significant because it introduces the 'waves of green', a recurring motif in the lyrics that represents both nature and hope.
[Verse 2] The second verse is more introspective, with the singer begging for help and a savior to believe in. The singer is sitting on the shores of Norway, where they can hear the cries of the unheard. The waves of green make another appearance, this time whispering the singer's name.
The themes of this song are centered on nature, hope, and introspection. The singer refelcts on the beauty of nature, and wonders how much longer it will be there for humanity to enjoy. They also ponder the future, and wonder if we are prepared for the stormy times that may be ahead. But despite these uncertainties, the singer still seems hopeful, signaling this through the recurring 'waves of green' that act as a symbol of both nature and potential for the future.
