The band consisted of:

* Brittin Karroll aka Britt Black: guitar
* Colette Trudeau: lead vocals
* Felicity Hearst: bass guitar
* Leah Emmott: drums

LiveonRelease's genre of music follows the likes of Blink-182. The name, LiveonRelease, originated from basketball jargon. Basketball is Brittin's favorite sport.

In 2002 they released Seeing Red, which included the singles "I'm Afraid of Britney Spears", "Get With It", and "Emotional Griptape". "I'm Afraid of Britney Spears" also appeared on the Dude, Where's My Car? soundtrack. In 2003 they released their second album Goes on a Field Trip, which included the single "Let's Go".

@spacemutt Actually Britt Black co-wrote a song on Bif's album when she was 10, and when LOR disbanded, she became Bif's guitarist. A bit more than being forced to be there... This is actually a band that formed themselves, and were part of the west coast punk scene.

pavlova. Maybe you should stop sniffing glue. Canada isn't even close to being a part of the U.S.A. I've lived in both countries and the differences are like night and day. Living in Canada was paradise while the U.S. made me feel like I was wallowing in a filthy cesspool.

Why are their songs sound so boring and similar to one another? As a fan of pop punk, I think they're boring. Halo Friendlies and Lillix are better.

MAN is this embarrassing—these ladies are ripping on good-looking girls who get record contracts because the way they sound and dress happens to be popular at the moment. Meanwhile, Bif Naked signed THESE good-looking girls to a record contract because Pop-Punk happened to be hugely marketable in 2001. Blink-182 opened the floodgates for groups like LiveonRelease—similar-sounding, inferior bands that were just as manufactured as any of the Girl or Boy Bands of the day. And at least those Pop groups had WELL-WRITTEN SONGS; this Get With It track is hardly a song at all.

The point of the video actually is that those girls were being fake and this band is saying don't be fake be yourself and tell the truth about who you are instead of pretending to live in some fake fairytale idea of reality. They are giving girls a voice they can relate to rather than singing a song that has no meaning or substance.
