but it's not plugged in and i'm all alone
i may dance in the rain in the middle of winter
but i'm not insane
-chorus-
you think that i must be a just a little bit crazy
i'm twisted and different but i'm not paranoid
just me, not crazy, no one is coming to get me
i guess i had better leave
but i'm not paranoid
i might sleep on the floor when my bed's real nice
know five times and ring the doorbell twice
lights out and lock the door too
if you don't watch out it'll happen to you
-chorus-
i'm not paranoid
i sit by myself and stare at the wall
when i'm feeling nothing at all
i'm not paranoid
-chorus-
The lyrics to LiveonRelease's song "Paranoid" describe the actions of an individual who is aware of their eccentricities, but is not necessarily mentally ill. The singer mentions waiting by the phone in the dark, but acknowledges that it is not plugged in and they are alone. They also mention dancing in the rain during the winter, which may be seen as abnormal by others but is not a sign of insanity.
The chorus of the song addresses the notion that the singer's behavior may be perceived as crazy or paranoid, but they assure themselves and the listener that they are not delusional or mentally unwell. The singer repeats the phrase "I'm not paranoid" several times and emphasizes that they are simply different from the norm.
The second verse describes more unconventional behaviors such as sleeping on the floor when the bed is comfortable, counting and ringing the doorbell a specific number of times, and being cautious about locking doors. The singer warns the listener that these habits could happen to them too, suggesting that everyone has their quirks and idiosyncrasies.
Overall, the song "Paranoid" celebrates individuality and encourages listeners to embrace their unique qualities, even if others may view them as strange or odd. The lyrics suggest that being different does not equate to being mentally ill, and that it is important to embrace and accept oneself for who they are.
