Sea Fever

I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

I'm 35 not all that well now..But still fit. Had my first boat at 13. I used to down rig for salmon.. That turned in to a 1966 40' all steel Chriscraft Rommer. With it's owen crain At 18 Then 911 happend and off we went. I'm the same kind of man as he...With the same dreams.. Just this spring got I got jammed up at a marina in Tobamorry Ontario By a very good conman owner. Who had me trapped on the hard trying to make me restore my boat there. Not ever the plan..Or where I wanted it.. Had everything tied up.. Boat paid in cash. I thought well wonder what pat would do I'm sure hes run in to a few funny Marina owners? And dreamed up a plan.. It worked. Thank goodness I got it out and Home safe with a 300km wide load road trip..I missed my window to warmer weather. But I'm working hard to be ready for spring.. Leaving from lake Ontario Canada.. On a 1975 29' Hughes.. My first sailboat was a Catalina27 1975 Like Patrick had.only on the great lakes .Its because of him I get in this mess and heading for salt . I'm thankful every day for the journey.. I can't begin to thank you for all the help I have received from your videos.. His passing was very hard for me..Nothing like I've experienced seeing I never met him in person. But I has touched me in spirit. Never felt such a loss seeing him have to leave you.. With so meny goals left to be completed.. Hes left us with so much information and experiences.. It will take time to in take it all.. Out on watch I'll be thinking of him..Praying for you rebecca. Please take care..And try and find the good in all this bad as he would have..Thankyou
