I want to fight about it now
You won't be lost
You won't be found
You won't be lost
You won't be called out by me for sure
I love you
That blossoms understand when hit
With cold hard wind
It's not the end
Just changing climate for sure
Be sure to feed the light
Just feel the right to get it wrong
It's not the end, it never ends
You won't be lost
You won't be found
Unless you want to be found
The lyrics of Lizz Wright's song "Feed the Light" express a message of hope, encouragement, and trust in the midst of uncertainty and change. The opening lines "Feed the light, I want to fight about it now" suggest a sense of urgency and determination to hold on to something meaningful and valuable. This may be interpreted as a call to action to defy the forces of darkness and negativity that threaten to engulf us. The repetition of "You won't be lost, You won't be found" may be understood as a reassurance that one's identity and worth are not dependent on external factors, but on personal agency and choice.
The lines "But you still believe that blossoms understand when hit with cold hard wind" evoke an image of resilience and beauty in the face of adversity. The idea that flowers can weather the storm and continue to grow and bloom serves as a metaphor for human resilience and spirit. The lines "It's not the end, Just changing climate for sure" suggest a sense of acceptance and adaptation to the realities of life. Rather than resisting or denying change, one is encouraged to embrace it and discover new possibilities and opportunities.
The chorus "Be sure to feed the light, Just feel the right to get it wrong, It's not the end, it never ends" encapsulates the central theme of the song. By "feeding the light" and making conscious choices that align with our values and aspirations, we can create a positive impact on ourselves and others. The line "Just feel the right to get it wrong" suggests that making mistakes is part of the learning process, and that it is not necessary to be perfect or have all the answers. Finally, the conclusion "You won't be lost, You won't be found, Unless you want to be found" highlights the importance of self-awareness and intentionality in shaping our path in life.
