1) Llama is an alternative rock band hailing from Nashville, TN. (Llama is also the name of a band featuring Rusty Willoughby, former frontman and guitarist of Flop and Pure Joy.) It was formed in 1998 by three sixteen-year-old friends, Ben Morton, Neil Mason, and Ben Brown, who then called themselves the Dahlia Llamas. They began playing regular gigs at Guido's, a local pizzeria (being underage, there were few other places they could perform). There they were discovered by MCA, and went on to tour with artists such as Béla Fleck and O.A.R.
During their time together, Llama recorded one CD, Close to the Silence, and one EP, The World From Here; yet most fans agree that Llama's strength was their live performances. Llama broke up in 2003, but several former members are still active in the Nashville music scene; Ben Brown and Neil Mason are both members of the current band Bang Bang Bang.
2)LLama was born in Kyoto in September, 2004.
It is a musical project conceived of and pushed forward by Satoshi Yoshioka and Totoku Fujii who are the chief architects of the band. LLama presents its live shows in various venues in the Kansai area. In addition to Yoshioka and Fujii, the band members include Hironori Ochi, Takeshi Yashiro, Ricky Senou, Shouta Iguchi, Keisuke Sano, and Akiko Igaki, all of whom are talented musicians currently active in the region. Depending on the circumstances, LLama organizes itself in a variety of membership formations, resulting in unique and artful performances, which is one of the charms that captures the audience’s hearts.

And twenty years are facing me down
Still there's no real explanation
No formal invitation that I've found
All this time I heard you talking
I never noticed how much I love the sound
Now I know it's getting late
But I feel better just having you around
I'm waking up
It's breaking me down
It shakes me up
When you come around
I didn't know it would be like this
But I guess my pre-life crisis has arrived
I drag my heart behind me
Until your voice reminds me I'm alive
Now I'm standing in the morning sun
Wondering what I've done to get this far
As I step out from the shadows
I can see just who you are
I'm waking up
It's breaking me down
It shakes me up
When you come around
When you come around
Suddenly you were older, bolder
So much more to think about
This song has always been inside me
Just took me twenty years to get it out
I'm waking up
It's breaking me down
It shakes me up
When you come around
The song "Waking Up" by Llama is an introspective piece about the realization that time is fleeting and the desire to make meaning of one's life. The first verse touches on the idea that time is both chasing the singer and facing them down, highlighting the ambiguity and fleeting nature of life. The lack of explanation and invitation in life is also mentioned, suggesting a need for introspection and self-discovery. The second verse highlights the importance of relationships and the impact they can have on one's life. The singer describes how they never noticed how much they loved the sound of someone talking until they were gone. The chorus "I'm waking up, It's breaking me down, It shakes me up when you come around" suggests that this relationship is what is bringing the singer out of their pre-life crisis and giving them a new perspective on life.
The last verse speaks to the idea that as time passes, the singer has matured and gained a new perspective on life. The song has always been inside of them but it took them 20 years to find the words to bring it out. This could be interpreted as the singer finding their voice and purpose later in life, as they gain more experience and understanding of the world around them.
Overall, the song "Waking Up" is a reflective and introspective piece that encourages the listener to take a deep look at their own life and relationships. It highlights the importance of finding purpose and meaning, even as time continues to pass.

It's breaking me down
But it's also really hard to deal with
It shakes me up
It's making me feel really emotional
When you come around
Especially when you're nearby
I didn't know it would be like this
I had no idea what to expect
But I guess my pre-life crisis has arrived
But now that I'm here, it feels like some sort of mid-life crisis
I drag my heart behind me
I've been carrying around a lot of emotional baggage
Until your voice reminds me I'm alive
But your presence helps me feel like I'm still living
Now I'm standing in the morning sun
I'm finally starting to see the light a bit more
Wondering what I've done to get this far
But I'm also reflecting on what brought me to this point
As I step out from the shadows
I'm finally starting to get out of a dark place
I can see just who you are
And I'm realizing just how much I appreciate you
Suddenly you were older, bolder
You seem to have grown and changed a lot since I last saw you
So much more to think about
You have a lot more depth and complexity than I realized
This song has always been inside me
I've always had these feelings inside of me
Just took me twenty years to get it out
But it's taken me a long time to finally express them
