1) Llama is an alternative rock band hailing from Nashville, TN. (Llama is also the name of a band featuring Rusty Willoughby, former frontman and guitarist of Flop and Pure Joy.) It was formed in 1998 by three sixteen-year-old friends, Ben Morton, Neil Mason, and Ben Brown, who then called themselves the Dahlia Llamas. They began playing regular gigs at Guido's, a local pizzeria (being underage, there were few other places they could perform). There they were discovered by MCA, and went on to tour with artists such as Béla Fleck and O.A.R.
During their time together, Llama recorded one CD, Close to the Silence, and one EP, The World From Here; yet most fans agree that Llama's strength was their live performances. Llama broke up in 2003, but several former members are still active in the Nashville music scene; Ben Brown and Neil Mason are both members of the current band Bang Bang Bang.
2)LLama was born in Kyoto in September, 2004.
It is a musical project conceived of and pushed forward by Satoshi Yoshioka and Totoku Fujii who are the chief architects of the band. LLama presents its live shows in various venues in the Kansai area. In addition to Yoshioka and Fujii, the band members include Hironori Ochi, Takeshi Yashiro, Ricky Senou, Shouta Iguchi, Keisuke Sano, and Akiko Igaki, all of whom are talented musicians currently active in the region. Depending on the circumstances, LLama organizes itself in a variety of membership formations, resulting in unique and artful performances, which is one of the charms that captures the audience’s hearts.

The day may bring
'Cause tonight I'm dancing for
The spring
What springs from your heart?
What rolls
From the tip of your tongue?
First it blossoms then it falls
But there's no time to waste
For there are songs we haven't sung
None but us can taste
All the sweetness of
The fruit for the young
Can you show me
What darkness means
By opening my eyes I hook into
This scene
And those who've gone before us are seen again
In the sparkle in the eyes of
The children
Of those who once led
We are the fruit of the dead
For the young
There's no time to waste
For there are songs we haven't sung
None but us can taste
All the sweetness of
The fruit for the young
You never know what the
Day may bring
'Cause tonight I'm dancing for
The spring
What springs from your heart?
What rolls
From the tip of your tongue?
First it blossoms then it falls
As fruit for the young
The lyrics of Llama's song "Fruit" exude an aura of mystery and deep thinking. The song begins with a sense of uncertainty and unpredictability that life brings, making the listener curious about what the future holds. The listener is taken on a journey through the various stages of creation and fruition, asking what springs from the heart and rolls from the tip of the tongue. The lyrics continuously reference the fruit that grows for the young, symbolizing the legacy that is left behind after one passes.
The song then takes a philosophical turn, delving into the concept of death and how the people who have gone before us are still present in the eyes of the children. The song states that we are the fruit of the dead, inevitably connected to the past and the future. The idea of legacy is echoed throughout the lyrics, emphasizing that we should not waste time and must cherish every moment to ensure that we leave behind a lasting impact.
Overall, Llama's song "Fruit" invites the listener to contemplate the natural processes of life and the importance of leaving a legacy. The song touches upon themes such as uncertainty, creation, death, and the cycle of life, urging the listener to be present and make the most of every moment.
