Banks was born in New Carrollton, Maryland and raised in Queens, New York. His mother named Rosa LLoyd of Puerto Rican descent and has a Haitian-American father. His father spent most of Lloyd's childhood in prison, leaving his mother to raise him and his two siblings. Lloyd attended August Martin High School but dropped out at age 16. For his stage name, he took his great, great-grandfather's name Banks, which was passed on by his uncles who also shared it.
G-Unit was founded when childhood friends Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent, and Tony Yayo decided to make a group with each other. They met Young Buck when UTP group came to New York and 50 Cent heard Young Buck rapping. After 50 Cent signed his contract with Aftermath Entertainment they took Young Buck in the group and signed him. Tony Yayo, being an older and more experienced rapper, joined 50 Cent on the Nas Promo Tour, the Cash Money Tour and the Ruff Ryders Tour. As Banks remained at home waiting for 50 and Yayo to return, he started rappin around the neighborhood to further increase his buzz on the streets. He then hooked up with neighborhood producers and made tracks for local mixtapes. Lloyd Banks has a renowned reputation on the mixtape scene. While Banks was making Mixtapes,50 Cent was soon granted his own record label by Dr. Dre and released the album Get Rich or Die Tryin'; Lloyd Banks was featured on the song "Don't Push Me", and the remixed version of "P.I.M.P". Soon after the group had established their own record label, G-Unit Records, G-Unit released their first official group album Beg for Mercy in November 2003, which went on to be certified double platinum.
During August 2005, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and their entourage were traveling in a van, when the vehicle was pulled over after passing through a red light in midtown Manhattan. Officers said they discovered a loaded handgun and another weapon in the van. Prosecutors asked a judge to dismiss the charges after an investigation determined that neither Lloyd Banks nor Young Buck was in possession of the weapons. Felony gun charges against Lloyd Banks and Young Buck were dropped on November 8, 2006.
In the early morning hours of January 9, 2010, in a Kitchener, Ontario hotel, an alleged altercation took place between Banks and a concert promoter over performance fees. Banks, and three of his associates, were later charged with forcible confinement, aggravated assault and robbery, and released on $50,000 bail.
In late January 2010, it was announced that Banks would release a new song, "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley" featuring Juelz Santana, from his upcoming third studio album. "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley" charted at #49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lloyd Banks release info via his twitter announcing that the title for his third album has tentatively been called The Hunger for More 2' and will attempt to take him back to his best work. However, the G-Unit label later stated that the title is not set in concrete and still may be altered. The title of the album was confirmed by 50 Cent as H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2) in a interview with MTV News. According to Banks, Interscope is trying to get him back due to the success of the single "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley".

Uh, a one two, a one two
Uh, a one two, a one two
Yeah
Uh, a one two, a one two
Excuse me miss, you must be some kind of a model
Enough to make a shopper run out of the column
Guess what you strong as rum out of the bottle
God bless you when he made me
I mean he blessed me when he made you I got a little game to
They know me everywhere I go that's what fame do
Where we can get it on the low what's your name blue?
You stuck in your ways but I know how to change you
Arrange you tell you things like your my angel
There's no rules when it comes to this, write down your number miss
They call me Banks, my government is Chris
They feel me in the burbs, love me in the bricks
Four inch whips, on a buggy six
First class trips and the bubbly's Cris
I work so hard to live like this
My past make me so weak
But you make me stronger
'Cause everything was upside down
Now I'm right back where I belong
Help, I think Cupid got me
Shock me all over my body
I think I'm losin' my cool
So I'm doin' things I don't do
Yeah, I got it hop in the ride so I could holla
My favorite girl outside of my Impala
I ain't gon' say you a dream I don't gotta
You could walk around in the street with no problems
I pick up all the G that he speaks so don't bother
The innocent role ain't workin' work harder
I ain't tryin' to lock you down I'm no father
But maybe we can go for it if you just listen
It's hard as hell for a man in my position
They pickin' your girl out you gotta know the difference
I wonder if it's even in one in existence
Enough to keep my attention to go the distance
And I'm have to look hard to find a better one
'Cause you sex is a 187 'hon
You get a nigga doin' shit I ain't never done
So now even when I'm on tour I let her come
My past make me so weak
But you make me stronger
'Cause everything was upside down
Now I'm right back where I belong
Help, I think Cupid got me
Shock me all over my body
I think I'm losin' my cool
So I'm doin' things I don't do
You're not the ones like I'm used to
I see us happy in our future
I'm givin' you all I have
My heart, my soul, my laugh
'Cause you are the only thing I need
I could have everything and more
Give you the feelin' you can't ignore
My past make me so weak
But you make me stronger
'Cause everything was upside down
Now I'm right back where I belong
Help, I think Cupid got me
Shock me all over my body
I think I'm losin' my cool
So I'm doin' things I don't do
In Lloyd Banks’s “Help,” he talks about his love interest and how she makes him stronger than his past ever did. Banks begins by complimenting the woman he is talking to, saying that she could be a model and is strong-willed like rum. He then tells her that she makes him a better person and that he can go places that he never could before because of her love. Banks seemingly suggests that he has been unfaithful in the past, but he now wants to turn his life around and commit to being with this woman.
Banks reflects on how his past has shaped him and made him weak, but the woman he is with makes him feel stronger than he ever felt before. Cupid’s arrow has made him fall in love, and he is grateful for the change that love has brought to his life. He is determined to be the best version of himself that he can be for this woman who has captured his heart. This song shows that love can be transformative and can bring out the best in people.

This is definitely a classy song right here. I seriously hate how great music like this often gets overlooked, yet trash is promoted every single time. No wonder I'm the ultimate cherry picker when it comes to music.
