Figure It Out
Lo-Ball Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

FIGURE IT OUT
It sure wasn't like Camelot
You don't know what you want except for more
And you're sitting so still again
There's nobody to blame when you're insecure
You twist my words around too much
I'm getting dizzy from the smell of urinal mints down the hall
Just go
You're talking at me, wondering if you count
Figure it out
And now, it's all about giving up
But nothing I do's enough, you make no sense
Still it's all just a game to you
My opinions are strange to you ...at least they're meant
You're talking at me, and now it's comin' down
Figure it out
I hate the way I'm doing this so I can be alright to somebody else

I heard you say, "You don't know what it's all about"
But if you try you'll figure it out.

Overall Meaning

Lo-Ball's song Figure It Out is about a tough relationship in which one partner doesn't know what they want. The singer is frustrated with their partner's indecisiveness and insecurity. The partner twists the singer's words around and makes them feel dizzy with their behavior. The singer realizes that nothing they do is enough for their partner and that their opinions are strange to them. Despite this, the partner treats the relationship like a game, causing the singer to question their own approach to the situation. The singer hates that they have to change themselves to be okay in the relationship and feels like their partner doesn't understand what's going on. However, the singer tells their partner that if they try to figure it out, they might understand.
