Locksley's song "Into The Sun" is about a young man who is infatuated with a girl who is not interested in him. The girl knows that the boy is smitten with her and takes advantage of his affection to boost her own ego. Although the boy is aware that she will never love him, he continues to follow her lead and is constantly put in situations that he knows are not healthy for him. He realizes that in order to move on, he needs to walk out of her life and into the sun, where he can start afresh.
The song is full of in-between moments where the singer is stuck between trying to move on and being drawn back in. Even though he is aware of the situation's futility, he is unable to resist the girl's charm. The lyrics mention the Middle East, which could be interpreted as a reference to the girl's exoticism and allure. The boy is aware that the girl is not being genuine and is playing games with him, but he is willing to overlook it because he is blinded by his love for her. Eventually, he decides that he needs to prioritize his own mental and emotional wellbeing over his infatuation for the girl and walks out into the sun.
