(1): Lolek (real name: Yannis Anagnostatos, in Greek: Γιάννης Αναγνωστάτος) is a singer / songwriter from Athens, Greece.
Born in Ithaca, Greece, Yannis became involved with music in his 12 years, by taking accordion lessons. Growing up and with his interest at music being at peak, he also got involved with other instruments: drums and guitar. In his post-teenage period, Yannis participated in a few short-lived and temporal music groups. In one of them he met Alexandros Iliakis (Αλέξανδρος Ηλιάκης). With Alexandros they formed their very own project called Bolek & Lolek, taking their names from a successful Polish cartoon series that was shown on TV back in the 1980s.
Bolek & Lolek were active through the period of 2005-2008 having drawn positive attention and reviews. Alexandros (Bolek) left for abroad Greece, leaving Yannis (Lolek) alone.
Having established permanently the name Lolek, he started writing music of his own, and having his first live solo appearances, thing that lead signing a contract with Inner Ear Records and releasing his debut album Alone on May 2009.
Nearly two years after, Lolek turned his name to Λόλεκ and released his sophomore album -singing in Greek- entitled Αχινός.
