In Amourada
London After Midnight Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

So much to give
I touch you like never before
With you I know I'll always forgive
'Cause no one else can give me more

Inamourada
What are you after?
You know it really matters to me

And I know there are times
When all I feel is pain
Outside wherever are to find
You said you'd always feel the same
You said you'd never be to blame

Inamourada
What are you after?
It really matters to me

Inamourada
What are you after?
It really matters to me

Inamourada
I hear you laughter

And you'll be laughing
At me

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song Inamourada by London After Midnight explores the feelings of a person who is deeply in love with someone who they believe is their perfect partner. The opening lines of the song, "So much to give, I touch you like never before", show the intensity of the love they feel towards this person. The singer believes that this person is the only one who can give them true happiness and contentment, and they will always forgive them for their mistakes and shortcomings. The repeated question "What are you after?" suggests that the singer is trying to understand their partner's motives and desires to ensure that they are equally invested in the relationship.

However, despite their passion and devotion, the singer acknowledges that love is not always perfect, and there are times when they feel pain, perhaps due to challenges in the relationship or external factors. They express a deep desire to be close to their partner and a fear of losing them as shown in the line "Outside wherever are to find, you said you'd always feel the same". The final line "you'll be laughing at me" suggests the fear of being vulnerable in love and being made fun of for expressing their feelings. Overall, the song is a complex exploration of the joy and fear that comes with being truly in love with someone.

Crete and Santorini are two of my favourite Greek Islands that I have visited - also loved Corfu and Rhodes. But Crete has a lot of things to do because the island itself is big

I like that you're pronouncing Chaniá Χανιά with the accent on the last 'a'. There are a few English-speaking travellers making blogs about Greece and most of them can't read Greek or pronounce the names half-way correctly. Kudos. All the best from Switzerland, Rob

Santorini Dave

Thanks Rob. We try our best but undoubtedly make some mistakes. Thanks for the message.

It's actually called "emphasis" not accent. Anyone can make a blog about another country and not speak the language. I appreciate a outsiders view of the travel process into these countries. Many people pronounce cities and places in the U.S. wrong, It's because English isn't their 1st language either.

Just a note Dave, perhaps when you show the various hotels, you could show the price range for each one? I know they do vary dependent on season, but it would be very helpful. Great informative videos though, keep them coming!!

Santorini Dave

Yeah, it's a great idea Andy and would be helpful for sure. Prices do change and vary by season and also vary dramatically within a hotel by room type. It's a tough element to do right. But thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely give it some thought.

There are several pages like booking, TripAdvisor, hotels, trivago, Expedia to name a few where you can look at prices. Not everything can be given. Do some work!

I have not been to Crete since 2004. At that time I was vacationing in Rethymnon and I visited most of the island thanks to rent a car. I have to visit that beautiful island again. A lot of time has passed, probably a lot of things have changed in the meantime. Wonderful people live there.
