LAM has gained a large and loyal following all over the world, from the USA to Europe to Latin America (where the live band has toured extensively), and beyond. LAM has headlined and co-headlined concerts and major festivals with bands like The Cure, Green Day, HIM (HIM has cited LAM a favorite artist), Rammstein, Soft Cell and many more. LAM has performed to crowds of over 30,000 people as headliner and co-headliner on major music festivals around the world. However, London After Midnight maintains a strong underground and independent "personality" despite being a top seller (charting in the top 10 and top 20 German DAC, and other European independent charts, with each of 4 CDs released) and a major draw at music festivals year after year.
Songwriter, instrumentalist, producer and founder Sean Brennan is known for his strong stances in favor of animal rights, pro-environmental and human rights issues, anti-corporate control of media, and support for progressive and liberal political and social causes. Whatever the approach or subject matter, the music of London After Midnight is deeply touching, powerful, socially aware, romantic, emotional, disturbing, haunting, moving, and often exhibits a morbid wit with its sardonic humor (listen to the tongue-in-cheek "Your Best Nightmare" and try not to think of an Edward Gorey story).
LAM is all this, while at the same time appealing to a wide variety of people. There really is no classification that fits London After Midnight (despite LAM's "dark" image) because the music is so varied and the lyrical content (and even LAM's personality and causes) are unique and uncommon in today's music scene (often breaking boundaries- much to the outrage of people who live and die by genre labels). Sean Brennan shuns all labels (as any artist worth their salt will do) and the music he creates can really only be classified as "London After Midnight".
From 2015-2019 LAM headlined major festivals around the world, including Wave Gotik Treffen multiple times, and many other events. In 2019 Sean Brennan started his own record label, Darkride Records, and released "Selected Scenes from the End of the World: 9119", the original 1991 album remixed from the original master tapes (it is NOT A REMASTER- it's completely remixed from the multi-track master tapes). This new mix restored missing audio tracks and includes a never before released song from the 1991 sessions. Darkride Records released the "Oddities Too", similar in theme to the 1998 album "Oddities" with unreleased music, new music and much more. The all new un-named LAM album and a complete remix of "Psycho Magnet", remixed from the original master tapes, is also underway.

October
London After Midnight Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'd be fine if no one knew
They all said he's too clever
Then I grew to know the game
Knew I'd never be the same
Come with me and live forever
In October
In October
They'll all remember my name
In the night I come to call
Down a dimly lighted hall
And I step through your door
Though you don't believe it's true
I have cast a spell on you
As you cry and beg for more
Chorus
Come the night, shadows fall
Solo flight, it's curtain call
Don't even try I'll always win
Cos it's my job to do you in
You know my name, I turn away
I'll just be back another day
Be it here or at your grave
May you always have your soul to save
Just one more moment left
To taste the sweetness of your neck
Then I'll be on my final flight
You know you have no control
Even I need someone to hold
When you're scared of the light
I've been around for centuries
Bringing women to their knees
When I say
We'll always be together
You ask what will become of me
Just look into my eyes and see
Come with me
And live forever
The song "October" by London After Midnight is a tale of a vampire who seduces their prey and brings them into an eternal life of darkness. The lyrics start off with the singer acknowledging their true identity and their wish to keep it hidden from others. The use of the phrase "he's too clever" suggests that the vampire has been successful in the past in hiding their true identity from close scrutiny. The singer then invites the listener to join them and live forever. The chorus repeats the theme of a change that occurs in October, indicating that something supernatural is happening. There is a sense of vanity and power as the singer declares that everyone will remember their name.
In the second verse, the vampire arrives at the door of their victim who doesn't believe that they are supernatural. However, they have already cast a spell on them and the victim cries and begs for more. The repetition of the chorus reinforces the idea that the transformative power of October is happening. The final verse suggests that the vampire needs someone to hold, highlighting a sense of loneliness and the fragility of immortality. The song ends with the invitation to join the vampire for eternal life.

Bringing women to their knees
When I say
I've been alive for hundreds of years, and I’ve turned many women through the ages and have been admired and feared throughout this time.
We'll always be together
You ask what will become of me
Just look into my eyes and see
Come with me
And live forever
I reassure my chosen ones of their eternal bond with me, and they continue to question the meaning behind their transformation, and I convince them that seeing the world from an immortal's point of view is worth it.

Lyrics:
Intro - Got to see a way, a terrible way, I can finally triumph of God!
Twilight... the leaves fall
The ground... it's so cold
Sing about God
Sing on his DEATH
Sing about sex
Your great mystery is a lie
Hypocrisy is the rule
Sing on the DEATH of
God!
Of darkness and light
Of heaven and hell
Of sinful delights
Beneath our feet lie shattered wings
Our screams bring the awakening of
God! (×2)
So say goodbye
To tortures and lies
If there's a God
Pray he opens his eyes
His angels aren't the master race
We'll tell him when we are face to face with
God!
