Overall Meaning

The repetition of "Baby, don't you leave me" in London Elektricity's song Billion Dollar Gravy expresses a feeling of desperation and fear of abandonment. It shows a deep emotional attachment to the person being addressed, and suggests that the singer is worried about losing them. The use of the word "baby" further emphasizes the singer's feelings of vulnerability and dependence on their partner. The drawn-out "baaabyyy..." also adds to the sense of urgency and longing.

This sentiment is further emphasized by the overall tone of the song, which has a melancholic feel to it. The slow, lush instrumentals and soft vocals create a dreamy, almost pensive atmosphere, which reflects the "heavyheartedness" of the singer. They are pleading with their partner to stay with them, suggesting that without them, they would feel lost and alone.

Overall, the lyrics of "Baby, don't you leave me" in Billion Dollar Gravy portray a deep, powerful emotional bond between two people, and the fear of losing that connection.

on the other hand this is where i started, oddly heard on a trance livestream i used to listen to many moons ago, the DJ decided to mix it up a bit with some london elek.

So true, I've recently been looking through the backcatalogues of artists like nu:tone, logistics, london elek, break, there are so many undiscovered gems out there. I just wish more DJ's would play more of those under-represented tunes in their sets at raves.

D&B doesn't get the quarter of the publicity it deserves. I'd been listening to D&B since the days before MP3.com went corporate, and can't brag about knowing even a tenth of what's out there.
The least we can do is share via word of mouth, giving credit where it's due, and passing what we can on to the next gen of fans.
