All of the members aside from McKee and Hedgecock left the band in 1985, and they replaced them with Shane Fontayne (guitar), Greg Sutton (bass), Rudy Richman (drums) and Bruce Brody (keyboards) for the recording of "Shelter". The band split in 1987, with McKee going onto a solo career.
I Found Love
Lone Justice Lyrics

Maybe a little too cautious for my own good
It was just like living life in the dark
Til something jumped up and it grabbed my heart
[Chorus]
I found love
I found real love
The beginning and end of every wish
Is balanced in the center of a vision like this
Maybe my emotions are inclined
To surrender to the notion of a glorious end
[Chorus]
One touch souls speak
The power's got me and it won't let me be
It's too much this heat
I want to laugh cry jump for joy scream and shout
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
At the end of every tunnel there's a shining light
At the end of every storm there's a quiet night
My joy was hidden in a big old dream
I didn't know it was there until you set me free
[Chorus]
In Lone Justice's song "I Found Love," the singer describes her experience of unexpectedly falling in love. The opening lines suggest that the singer is typically cautious in her approach to life, perhaps for fear of getting hurt or making mistakes. However, something outside of her control jumps up and grabs her heart, indicating the sudden and powerful nature of falling in love. The chorus repeats the phrase "I found love" several times, emphasizing the joy and excitement that comes with discovering true love.
In the second verse, the singer suggests that her deepest desires are balanced and fulfilled by being in love with this person. She becomes more open to the idea of letting herself be vulnerable and surrendering to the potential for a happy ending. The bridge of the song further emphasizes the powerful and all-consuming nature of love, describing how it can overtake a person's entire being and inspire them to feel intense emotions like joy and excitement.
The final verse touches on the idea that love can uncover hidden joys and dreams that were previously unknown. The person she is in love with has "set her free" and allowed her to experience a new level of happiness. Overall, "I Found Love" is a song that celebrates the transformative power of love and the joy it can bring to a person's life.

Such an underated band. These guys should have had world wide fame.
@Anca820
I remember them performing this song on SNL and thinking how they’d do just that. Unfortunately it didn’t happen but her voice and energy is amazing.

Audience didn't buy it. It happens.

@ZippyMufo They didn't have the songs.
@zippymufo9765
@KT Kee I agree. McKee had a great voice but none of their songs really stuck with you.
@ktkee7161
@ZippyMufo She should have found a better band, engaged a songwriter, or found another form of performing, like the stage. Seems a bit of a wasted talent.
