"Please Come Home" is very proggy, but it’s more about atmosphere than technical expertise, inspired by his love of science fiction and interest in the evolution of the human race.
Spiders
Lonely Robot Lyrics

You planned this all from the start
With hundreds of eyes you watched everything rise
Then shot venom right straight to the heart
And I conclude you would say anything
Weaving your terrible dread
You're quietly spinning catastrophe
Vulnerable figures in webs
Spiders, spinning innocence
Now I can′t get you out of my hair
Spiders you took everything
Now you've left me defenseless and bare
I'm starting to see that
Your kindness was setting a trap
With thousands of lies and your twisted devices
You had us all sat in your lap
And I conclude you would do anything
Crawling right into my head
You′re quietly spinning catastrophe
Vulnerable figures in webs
Spiders, sinning innocence
Now I can′t get you out of my hair
Spiders you took everything
Now you've left me defenseless and bare
Spiders, sinning innocence
Now I can′t get you out of my hair
Spiders you took everything
Now you've left me defenseless and bare
Spiders! Spiders!
Spiders you took everything
Now you′ve left me defenseless and bare
So don't pretend you ever cared

Saw these guys perform at the Marillion convention 2017. Got John's autograph on the Marillion set list I managed to grab. Then headed back to New Zealand. The first two tracks are the best yet imho, loving it.
