Lonely The Brave Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Last time I was giving hell
What the eye don′t see
First crop of the living dead
Last stop on the triggers edge
Leave a light on for me
Down the path i'm running
Down the path i′m running in
Through the door i'm falling in
Into your arms i'm coming
Into your arms i′m breathing out
Until the black wave come
In the black wave i′m running out
You leave me wanting more
The lyrics to Lonely The Brave's song "Tank Wave" evoke a sense of longing and desperation, as the singer reflects on past experiences and seeks solace in someone else's arms. The opening line, "Took a seat by the river bell," suggests that the singer is finding a moment of respite and contemplation. The phrase "Last time I was giving hell" indicates that in the past, the singer may have been more rebellious or confrontational, but now they are reflecting on those actions.
The line "What the eye don't see, first crop of the living dead" could be interpreted as a metaphor for unseen troubles or secrets that eventually catch up with us. It implies that there are consequences for actions and choices that may have been hidden. The following line, "Last stop on the triggers edge, leave a light on for me," suggests that the singer is on the edge, perhaps teetering between darkness and seeking redemption or comfort.
The repetition of phrases such as "Down the path I'm running" and "Into your arms I'm coming" showcases the repetitive nature of seeking solace or refuge. The line "You leave me wanting more" indicates that despite finding some comfort, the singer still yearns for something more, suggesting a desire for deeper connections and emotional fulfillment.
Overall, "Tank Wave" explores themes of introspection, longing, and the search for solace after a turbulent period. It invites listeners to reflect on past actions, consequences, and the need for human connection.

this fucked me up so bad. i bought 2 or 3 different versions to see if that was the way it was intended to be. turns out, unfortunately, it is. nonetheless, one of the greatest songs ever.
