The two musicians formed the Long Beach Dub Allstars with Opie Ortiz (the artist who created most of Sublime's tattoos and several of their album covers)on vocals, guitarist RAS-1 and Miguel, saxophonists Todd Foreman and Tim Wu, Jack Maness and Isaiah Owens on keyboards, and finally DJ Marshall Goodman.
After releasing some singles and compilations, they released their debute album "Right Back" on DreamWorks in 1999. In 2001 they released "Wonders of the World" once again on DreamWorks.
Long Beach Shortbus was formed after the Long Beach Dub Allstars disbanded in 2003 by the two founding members from Long Beach Dub Allstars Eric Wilson and RAS-1.
NO WAY
Long Beach Dub All Stars Lyrics

There's more than what you know
And if you drift away
I'll be there with bells on friend
Maybe it's the show
Lacking all the journey flow
Your message is your rope
It's positions, where I am
The further demand, the fact of expanding
Your body's in my hands
The catch of the day, try running away
Where are you?
It's hard to let you know
To leave regret and make a road
And if you walk away
There's another road to take
Your path is being sold, coincidence is here again
It's far beyond the mind
You've got to let your soul break free
The power's in my hands
Control is up to me
I got the gift and I'm gonna lift you up
The lyrics to Long Beach Dub All Stars' song "No Way" are about the difficulty in letting go of someone or something important in your life, and the realization that there is more to the situation than what is immediately apparent. The singer acknowledges that there may be more going on beneath the surface, and if the person or thing he is letting go of drifts away, he will still be there to support them. He speculates that perhaps this difficulty in letting go is due to a lack of growth or progress, and encourages the listener to climb to the top and see where they end up.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of control and power, with the singer asserting that he has the power to lift up those around him. He suggests that breaking free from the mind and letting the soul take over is key to moving forward.
Overall, the song is a message of support and encouragement in the face of difficult circumstances. It encourages the listener to take control of their life and embrace growth and change.
