Long Since Forgotten recorded their first full length album "All The Things You Said..." in late 2001 with Ed Rose (The Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect, Ultimate Fakebook, The Appleseed Cast, Coalesce, and The Casket Lottery). With that record complete, Long Since Forgotten signed with Rocketstar Recordings and released "All the Things You Said..." in the summer of 2002. The album art is picture of a small tabletop jukebox from Cosmo's Restaurant, located on Marshall Street on the Syracuse University campus.
Touring relentlessly since recording "All The Things You Said...", Long Since Forgotten has continued to win over fans across the country. Two East Coast tours in June 2002 and October 2003, three full U.S. tours - September 2002, April to June 2003 and January to April 2004 - as well as countless weekend tours of the North East have helped to establish Long Since Forgotten as one of the industry's most promising up-and-coming rock bands.
During June of their Spring 2003 tour, Long Since Forgotten recorded their second full-length for Rocketstar Recordings at Blacklodge Studios, again working with Ed Rose. Now more mature in song writing and more cohesive as a group, Long Since Forgotten felt these sessions had produced their best work to date. The 13 track album, titled "Standing Room Only," was released on January 27th 2004. With support from Earshot Media and McGathy Radio Promotions as well as Long Since Forgotten's endless touring and Street Team activity, "Standing Room Only" debuted at #54 on the CMJ top 200 one week prior to its release, and has found its way into the hearts of thousands of fans, new and old, from all over the country.
Long Since Forgotten's constant touring schedule in support of "Standing Room Only" included a full U.S. Tour in July and August as well as international dates in Mexico and Japan.
In late 2007, the group released its fourth LP, The Theft (EVO Records) which was issued in Japan before seeing a release in the United States. This was the their last release before disbanding in 2009.

Long Ride Home
Long Since Forgotten Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
This season left you empty.
They'll miss you when your gone,
But it doesn't last for long.
You've taken the light of the sun with you.
Leaving it up to the ones who needed you.
Memories fade and in time will be replaced
You're taking too much time again,
Deciding where you come from.
We hope you get there quickly.
On a bus that takes you home.
It doesn't last for long.
The lyrics of Long Since Forgotten's song Long Ride Home talk about the importance of the decisions that we make in life, and the impact that they can have on us and those around us. The singer suggests that sometimes these decisions can seem irrational and escapable, and that it is easy to feel empty during certain seasons of our lives. The idea that memories fade and will be replaced with the will to move on is also explored. The singer suggests that we should all strive for a better life, but that sometimes we can get caught up in where we come from and find it hard to move on. The phrase "you've taken the light of the sun with you" suggests that the person who is leaving has taken something valuable with them and the people who they are leaving behind are going to miss it.
The song references the idea of home, which is a significant theme in many songs. As the title suggests, the song focuses on a 'long ride home', which can be interpreted in many ways. The journey home can be physical, emotional or spiritual. The idea of going home can be comforting, but it can also be a difficult journey. The fact that the singer says 'we hope you get there quickly' suggests that the journey is not an easy one.
Overall, the lyrics of Long Since Forgotten's song Long Ride Home are poetic and thought-provoking. They encourage us to think about the decisions that we make and the impact that they can have on us and those around us. The song prompts us to think about what we value in life, and what it means to truly move on and create a better life for ourselves and those around us.
