Kansas City
Lopez Trini Lyrics

(Oh, let's go to Kansas City, now.)

I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come.
I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come.
They got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.

I'm gonna be standing on the corner, Twelfth Street and Vine.
I'm gonna be standing on the corner, Twelfth Street and Vine;
With my Kansas City baby and my bottle
Of Kansas City wine.

Well, I might take a train, might take a plane,
But if I have to walk,
I'm gonna fly there just the same.
Yeaaaah, Kansas City here I come.
They got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.

Well, if I don't leave that woman I know I'm gonna die.
Got to find a brand new baby and here's the reason why:
Ya, ya, ya-eeeee eee, Kansas City here I come.
They got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.
Ah - right.

Might take a train, might take a plane,
But if I have to walk,
I'm gonna fly there just the same.
Yeaaaah, Kansas City here I come.
They got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.
(One more time)

If I don't leave that woman, know I'm gonna die.
Got to find a brand new baby and that's the reason why:
Ya, ya ya-eeeee eee, Kansas City here I come.
They got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.
Yeah, yeah,
they got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.
(One more time)

They got some crazy little women there
And I'm gonna get me one.

Nice to listen to this classic.

Great Version... Unforgettable Brilliant TRINI LOPEZ 👋👋👋 Thanks 👍

@janettgrady2394

Mery Toste...Trini Lopez does Kansas City okay, but I think Fats Domino does it better. I do agree, though, Trini Lopez had put on an unforgettable show. The picture of him on this video must be an old picture of him, but it's seems to be a picture of how he looked on stage in front of his band...a long long time ago.

Oh man this is good. He always brought his unique, infectious style. RIP.

@janettgrady2394

My God, haven't heard Trini Lopez for more years than I care to count. Saw him perform a time or two at the Airman's Club on Sheppard AFB. An Air Force boyfriend of mine forever took me to the club because the club always had great entertainment, and Trini Lopez had been one of the featured performers. Maybe I've got it wrong, but if I remember right, Trini Lopez sang Rock On, one of his hits at the time. My thanks goes to whoever posted this video. Thank you. You made my day.

@mayduck1

The thing I loved about Trini Lopez was his cheerful upbeat style that he shows in this song that was on the charts when JFK was killed.Many in late 1963 and early 1964 had about 2 minutes of joy in a dark era listening to this song just like I did listening in 2020 the year of hell which took Mr Lopez away because of the virus from hell.RIP Mr Lopez and thanks for leaving the World songs that many for years to come will have joy listening to.

@peterrei280
