Aunque hace relativamente poco que decidió coger una guitarra y empezar a componer, lo viene haciendo con una naturalidad y un talento asombrosos. En un acto muy poco común estos días, Lorena reivindica la tradición cultural de una manera muy clara: la canción popular, aún sin poder obviar el hecho de estar en pleno siglo XXI. Sus canciones son piezas cortas y muy certeras, que hablan de temas tan comunes como trascendentales, están arropados por una base instrumental tan austera como efectiva, y se quedan grabados antes de decir Amén. Registros como la jota -en sus diversas variantes-, los romances, el pasodoble, la música sefardí o, sin ir más lejos, las verbenas de los pueblo, son la influencia de unas composiciones sorprendentes.
