Out Of My Head And Back In My Bed

I got you on my mind
I said when you left
I could make it by myself
But it gets harder all the time
And I can't take it no more
I see your face
Every time I close my eyes
And I'm lookin' for you
Some winter night
I want you out of my head
And back in my bed
Before the mornin' sun comes up
I can't stand another night
Without holdin' me tight
How I miss your lovin' touch
I'm goin' searchin'
Everywhere that a you might be
When I find you I'm a bringin' you home with me
I want you out of my head
And back in my bed
Before the mornin' comes
Well I might find somebody new
To share my misery
But no other man
Can do what you can
When it comes to lovin' me
I don't want nobody to say that I was a fool
For bein' cool
I won't be satisfied till you're back in my arms
And I'm lovin' you
I want you out of my head
And back in my bed
Before the mornin' sun comes up
I can't stand another night
Without you holdin' me tight
How I miss your lovin' touch
I'm goin' searchin'
Everywhere that a you might be
And when I find you
I'm a bringin' you home with me
I want you out of my head
And back in my bed
Before the mornin' comes
I want you out of my head
And back in my bed
Before the mornin' sun comes up
I can't stand another night
Without you holdin me tight
How I miss your lovin' touch
I'm goin' searchin'
Everywhere that a you might be
FADES-
A when I find you
I'm a bringin' you home with me
I want you out of my head
And back in my bed
Before the mornin' comes
The song Out of My Head and Back in My Bed by Loretta Lynn is a heartbroken ballad about missing someone and wanting them back. The song follows the story of the singer who is unable to move on from her former lover, even if she had previously thought she would be okay without him. She admits that every time she tries to close her eyes, she sees his face, indicating the depth of her feelings for him. Unable to go on this way, she decides to go out and search for him.
Lyrically, the song is quite simple and direct. The chorus, "I want you out of my head and back in my bed before the morning sun comes up," is poignant and drives home the message of the song. The lyrics also seem to suggest that even if the singer found someone else, they would never be able to replace or fulfill the desire that only the subject of the song could provide.
Overall, the song evokes a sense of longing, desperation, and the desire to have someone back. It captures the feeling of heartbreak and the need to be loved and held by someone who knows you deeply.

Lyin' alone in this big old bed
I am laying down all by myself in this huge bed
I got you on my mind
I can't stop thinking about you
I said when you left
When you went away from me, I told myself that I could manage all by myself
I could make it by myself
I thought I was capable of coping on my own
But it gets harder all the time
It's getting increasingly difficult as time goes by
And I can't take it no more
I can't handle it anymore
I see your face
I visualise your face
Every time I close my eyes
At any point when I shut my eyes
So I'm goin' out now
I'm leaving this room this moment
And I'm lookin' for you
I am searching for you
Some winter night
At some point during the winter season
I want you out of my head
I need you to get out of my thoughts
And back in my bed
And return to laying down beside me
Before the mornin' sun comes up
Before the sun rises in the morning
I can't stand another night
I cannot handle another evening
Without holdin' me tight
Without holding me close
How I miss your lovin' touch
I long for your affectionate touch so much
I'm goin' searchin'
I will go hunting
Everywhere that a you might be
Every place you might be located
When I find you
Once I locate you
I'm a bringin' you home with me
I will take you along with me to my place
Well I might find somebody new
Maybe I will come across another person
To share my misery
To share my pain and sorrow
But no other man
But no other guy
Can do what you can
Can do the things that you're capable of doing
When it comes to lovin' me
When it comes to showing me love
I don't want nobody to say
I do not wish for someone else to speak
That I was a fool
Negatively portraying me
For bein' cool
For trying to be tough or acting calm
I won't be satisfied
I won't be content
Till you're back in my arms
Until you're in my embrace once again
And I'm lovin' you
And I'm showering you with love
A when I find you
And when I locate you
