Her second studio album "Tendrement" came a year later featuring the same style and meeting almost the same success (900.000 copied sold). On August 2003, a live recording of Lorie's first concert tour waw released, called Live Tour 2003.
Her third studio album "Attitudes" came a year later. It has a more pop-rock sound even though it's a teen pop album on its core. It was not as successful as her previous efforts as it sold 500,000 copies, but it is still considered a big success.
After another live album and a greatest hits collection Lorie released in 2005 her fourth album "Rester la même" . By then Lorie's popularity had declined and and the production of her albums was dated. This didn't prevent her from topping the albums charts once more but the sales were very decreased. In 2006 an unsuccessful thrid live album was released called "Live Tour 2006".
Lorie's fifth studio album, and her ninth album overall, "2lor en moi?" marked the change of her sound. While most of her previous records consisted of pop/rock and bubblegum pop songs, Lorie thought it was the moment her music should become "more mature" since her fans "were all growing up". With the help of popular producers, a fresh new album was born, different from anything Lorie had done before. The albums sounds more like Kylie Minogue or Rachel Stevens, being more electro. The critics praised this transformation but in terms of sales the album was a minor hit. it debuted at #7 in France, less than any other of her albums and is certified gold. The singles were more successful. "Je vais vite", released as the album's lead single, had great response and chart success. The second single "Play" became popular on its own all across Europe, especially in clubs. On December 5, 2008, the album's third single, "1 Garçon", was released. The promotion was little but the song's lyrics ("parce que t'aime un garçon", which means "because you love another boy") and the video caused much controversy (for some of its scenes like the one when two guys get very close to each other and are about to kiss).
A 20 Ans

Encore une âme un peu fragile
Mais pas si docile
On apprend, poliment
{Refrain:}
À 20 ans
On est invincible
À 20 ans
Rien n'est impossible
On traverse les jours, en chantant
Et l'amour c'est plus important
À 20 ans
Gentiment
On oublie les bonnes manières
Et toutes les galères
On comprend, fatalement,
Que cendrillon jette la pierre
à la vilaine sorcière
Mais je sais
Que l'amour me guidera
Mais je sais
Que la vie continuera ses bienfaits
Que mon étoile là-haut
Ne me lâchera pas de sitôt
Refrain
On ose tout dire
Insouciant
Refrain:
À 20 ans
Rien n'est impossible
On traverse les jours, en chantant
Et l'amour c'est plus important
À 20 ans
On ose tout dire
Insouciant
The lyrics of Lorie's song A 20 Ans depict the sentiment of a young person who has just entered into their twenties. The song is a celebration of youth, innocence, and hope as the singer embraces the independence, energy, and limitless possibilities of being 20. At the same time, the song acknowledges the fragility of this moment in life and the feeling of uncertainty that comes with growing up. The lyrics show that at 20, one learns to control their impatience, showcases their rebelliousness but also understands the importance of love.
Lorie uses powerful metaphors throughout the song to show the youthfulness of 20-year-olds. Mais pas si docile" translates to "At 20, we still feel like we have a fragile soul, but we are not that submissive." The lyrics suggest that at 20, one is more aware of their strengths and weaknesses and is not as vulnerable as they were before.
The chorus is a celebration of youth and energy. The lyrics "À 20 ans On est invincible, À 20 ans Rien n'est impossible" translate to "At 20, we are invincible, at 20, nothing is impossible." These lyrics are a reminder to the listeners that being young and full of energy can make anything possible if they put their mind to it. The song's ultimate message is that even though the singer is growing up, love, and the spirit of youth, will continue to guide them.
