Eran las epocas de las matinales, que estaba en boga los grupos de la Nuevaola, como los Shain, Doltons, Yorks, Silvertons y muchos más, y aparecen los Destellos con el tema: El Avispon , el cual llevan a la cuspide de la popularidad con centenares de seguidores .
Los Destellos y Enrique Delgado, en cada presentacion con la guitarra en la espalda al interpretar la ardillita conquistando a los jovenes de esos tiempos. Desde el Primer Long Play que grabo, creo las 3 Corrientes musicales: Para La Costa: El Avispon ;para la Sierra: Que Chola tan rica; y para la Selva: La Charapita. asi mismo dio Origen a muchas agrupaciones que interpretan la música creada por EL VERDADERO GENIO DE AMERICA , ENRIQUE DELGADO MONTES, considerado "El Padre de la Cumbia Peruana". los dos primeros años grabo temas instrumentales , y a partir del año 1970 graban el Tema: Elsa (Cantado) el tema más vendido, sobrepasando el millon de discos por aquel entonces., Enrique Delgado fallece el 21 de Marzo de 1996.

Esta canción me hace acordar cuando de chibolo viajaba con mi mamá a huancayo y la sierra central en el bus ponían estas canciones y me quedó de recuerdo para siempre.. hoy mamá ya no está conmigo pero guardo esos gratos recuerdos que tuve a lado de ella.. que Dios la tenga en su gloria!!
