Canta tu canto que llegue al mar
Vuela tu vuelo paloma mía
Canta tu canto que llegue al mar
Quiero mi libertad
Quiero vivir en paz
tener tus alas poder volar
The song "La Paloma" by Los Folkloristas is a beautiful ode to freedom and the desire to live a peaceful life. The lyrics speak about a longing for liberation and the need to escape from the struggles of everyday life. The song starts with the words "Vuela tu vuelo paloma mía" which translates to "Fly your flight, my dove" and sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer is speaking to a dove and encouraging it to fly freely and sing its song so that it reaches the sea.
The singer then sings about their own personal desires for freedom and peace. They express a desire to live a life free from burdens and to be able to sing like the dove and fly with its wings. The lyrics "Quiero que mi destino lleve el camino por donde va" which loosely translates to "I want my destiny to take me where it's meant to be" emphasizes the singer's hope for a brighter future. They want the dove to bring them freedom from afar.
The chorus of the song repeats the initial lines, encouraging the dove to fly and sing its song to the sea. The singer expresses that they are tired of living a life filled with work and sorrow and they want the dove to bring them the freedom they long for. Overall, "La Paloma" is a beautiful song with deep meaning about the struggle for liberation and the desire to live a life free from burdens.
