Crazy Baby
Los Lonely Boys Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Crazy, crazy, crazy baby
That's what I am over you
Crazy, crazy, crazy baby
What am I gonna do

All of my life
I'm wanting someone like you
You're sweet to me
And I'm so mean to you

You got me running around in circles
I'm waiting for you to decide
If you love me baby
You'll realize

Crazy baby
That's what I am
And baby all of my life I've wanted someone like you

So crazy baby
Be my wife and
Take this feeling from my life

If you love me baby
You'll realize

Overall Meaning

The song Crazy Baby by Los Lonely Boys is a tune about a love that drives the singer to madness. The opening lines of the song are repeated throughout it, emphasizing how the singer feels about the person they are singing to. The tone is one of desperation and passion, as the singer is fixated on the person whom they believe is the one they have been waiting for.

Despite the passion, the singer may not be treating the object of their affection very well. They acknowledge that they are mean to the person they love, even as they are sweet to them. The singer may realize that they are being unfair to their love, but they cannot help how they feel. They are in love, and it's driving them crazy.

The singer's love is clearly unrequited, as they are waiting for their love to "decide" whether they love the singer or not. The singer is willing to do anything to get their love to return the feelings, including asking them to be their wife. The song ends on a plea for the singer's love to realize how much they mean to them and return their feelings.

Yes. Buck Rodriguez aka Buck Rogers. He wrote and recorded this song in 1959. It made number one on the Top Ten Charts several times back then. The original version sounds better because it has more instruments. Both Freddy Fender and the Los Lonely Boys never got permission to reproduce this song.

Not all artists (singers) are songwriters therefore they’ll record songs written by songwriters who then recieve “royalties” for their song(s). Please don't make it sound as if artists such as Los Lonely Boys, Freddy Fender, Little Joe, Sunny Ozuna & many others recorded the song illegally, on the contrary, these artists are the ones who have kept it alive & well. PS: For those listeners who are into the Tex-Mex sound checkout the version done by Los Fabulocos featuring Kid Ramos.
