Nona
Los Makenzy Lyrics

Sentado en el banco de un solar
Para olvidar no existe una cura real
Mi madre me enseñó de más
Hicimos que ni un paso más diera
Para olvidar no existe una cura real
En mi verdad
Luego me doy cuenta que paso más
De una vida volviendo atrás
Viajo en el tiempo ya
A mis años, niñez o vejez da igual
Para olvidar no existe una cura real
Paso el tiempo sin pensar
En mi verdad
Y mi pasado un susurro vulgar
Paso el tiempo sin pensar
En mi verdad
Poetas he de recordar
The song "Nona" by Los Makenzy is a melancholic reflection on the inability to truly forget past traumas and experiences. The lyrics describe the singer's desperation to forget, sitting on a bench in an empty lot, but ultimately coming to the realization that there is no real cure for the pain. The influence of the singer's mother is also mentioned, their guidance and teachings helping them get through difficult times. As time passes, the singer reflects on how much they have lived and how much they have returned to their past, constantly traveling through time. They come to terms with the fact that forgetting is not possible, and instead they turn to poetry to help others remember their own experiences.
The song touches on themes of pain, healing, and the importance of remembering. The lyrics show that sometimes the past cannot be left behind, and one must learn to live with their experiences. The melody and tone of the song add to its somber mood, evoking a sense of melancholy and reflection. The use of repetition in the chorus emphasizes the central message of the song, that forgetting is not a cure for pain.

Me gustó mucho.
