(it's alright)
Whenever I'm asked who makes my dreams real
I say that you do
(you're outta sight)
So fee fi fo fum
Look out baby 'cause here I come
So get ready
I'm gonna try to make love to you so get ready
So get ready here I come
I'm on my way
If you wanna play hide and seek with love let me remind you
(it's alright)
The loving you're gonna miss and the time it takes to find you
(it's outta sight)
So fiddle-lee-dee fiddle-lee-dum
Look out baby 'cause here I come
And I'm bringing you a love that's true so get ready
So get ready
I'm gonna try to make love to you so get ready
So get ready here I come
I'm on my way
All my friends shouldn't want me to I understand it
(be alright)
I hope I'll get to you before they do the way I planned it
(be outta sight)
So twiddle-dee-dee twiddle dee dum
Look out baby 'cause here I come
And I'm bringing you a love that's true so get ready
So get ready

Get ready 'cause here I come, boy
"Get Ready" by Los Pericos is a cover of the 1966 hit song by The Temptations. The song is a declaration of love and desire for a girl whom the singer has never met before. The lyrics talk about how the girl makes him feel and how he plans to court her. The chorus is a repetition of the phrase "So get ready" which implies that the singer is ready to take action and pursue the girl.
The opening line of the song, "I never met a girl who makes me feel the way that you do," emphasizes the unique qualities that the girl possesses that attract the singer so much. He goes on to say that whenever he's asked about who makes his dreams real, he mentions the girl, indicating that she's the one that he desires above all else. The use of the phrase "you're outta sight" emphasizes the intensity of the singer’s attraction.
The second verse of the song encourages the girl to be ready for his affections. He says that if she wants to play hide and seek with love, she might miss out on the love that he's offering. The line "So fiddle-lee-dee fiddle-lee-dum" implies that he’s prepared to do what it takes to win her heart. The bridge talks about how the singer's friends might also be interested in pursuing the girl, but he hopes that he gets to her first.
Overall, "Get Ready" is a classic love song that conveys the pure and intense feelings of the singer towards a girl he's never met before. It encourages the girl to be ready to accept his love and affirms his determination to pursue her.
