Missing faces in my room.
I am waiting for your love,
Lie looking at the moon.
Emotional.
Devotional.
Something there is in the heaven,
Sometimes I just can't hide
Why can't we live together now.
I am waiting for your love
We're playing silly games.
I am waiting for your love
Let me standing in the rain.
Emotional.
Devotional.
Give me the greatest love
Something there is in heaven,
Sometimes I just can hide
Why can we live together now.
Emotional.
Devotional.
Give me the greatest love
Something there is in heaven,
Sometimes I just can hide
Why can we live together now.
I am waiting for your love,
I am waiting for your love,
I am waiting for your love,
I am waiting for your love,
I am waiting for your love,
I am waiting for your love,
Oanananana oananananoo...
The lyrics to Los Pericos’ song “Waitin'” convey the feelings of someone who is waiting for their loved one to return to them. The song begins with the singer describing their current state, where they feel alone, surrounded by missing faces in their room. The singer then goes on to repeat that they are waiting for their love, looking up at the moon, which suggest that they might be outdoors, perhaps waiting for someone to come back to them.
The lyrics are quite emotional and devotional, which underpins the strong feelings the singer has for their partner. They are in search of the “greatest love” and something that they feel exists up in heaven. The chorus repeats the sentiment of waiting for love, and that they are tired of playing “silly games” and standing out in the rain. The singer wonders why they can’t live together now and why they are made to wait for their love.
Overall, the song conveys the feeling of longing and waiting for someone you love. It captures the frustration, pain, and hope that accompany these emotions.
