casi no puedo respirar
perdido en el subterráneo
todo parece extraño
la gente mira sin pensar
La noche cae en un zig zag
prenden las luces en el bar
intento seguirte el ritmo
y ni siquiera me miras
Entonces hoy
entonces hoy..
cantare para no llorar
entonces hoy..
cantare para no pensar
que soy un tonto en la cuidad
Entonces hoy
entonces hoy..
cantare para no llorar
entonces hoy..
cantare para no pensar
que soy un tonto en la cuidad
Sigue lloviendo sin parar
lloviendo sin parar..
y estoy mojado como el mar
y no vale la pena
que me corte las venas
igual la vida seguirá
Entonces hoy
entonces hoy..
cantare para no llorar
entonces hoy..
cantare para no pensar
que soy un tonto en la cuidad
Entonces hoy
entonces hoy..
cantare para no llorar
entonces hoy..
cantare para no pensar
que soy un tonto en la cuidad
que soy un tonto en la cuidad
que soy un tonto en la cuidad
que soy un tonto y que mas da!
The lyrics of "Como un tonto en la ciudad" by Los Rancheros convey the sense of feeling lost and out of place in a bustling city. The singer expresses their struggle to adapt to the fast-paced urban environment, feeling suffocated and overwhelmed. They describe being like a fool or a "tonto" in the city, unable to navigate its intricacies and feeling ignored by the people around them.
The song paints a vivid picture of the city at night, with its zigzagging streets, neon lights in bars, and the famous obelisk as a reference point. Despite trying to keep up with the rhythm and follow someone, the singer is left unnoticed and unacknowledged. The rain serves as a metaphor for the constant challenges and setbacks they face, leaving them soaked like the sea. Yet, even in the midst of their struggles, they choose to sing to avoid crying and overthinking their foolishness in the city.
Overall, "Como un tonto en la ciudad" captures the feelings of isolation, alienation, and the internal battle to maintain a sense of self amidst overwhelming circumstances.
