In Los Tigres Del Norte's song La Mesera, the singer finds himself in a small restaurant called a fonda, in search of food when he is approached by a beautiful brunette waitress who offers him anything he wants. He finds himself completely enamored with her and asks her to sit with him and have a good time. He asks if she's married, and she tells him that she lives alone, but she encourages him to put a peso into the jukebox if he wants music because it doesn't play by itself. The two of them spend the evening drinking and dancing to the point of being drunk.
