Snow
Lost-Minded Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

There were four of us pointing at the night sky

Snowflakes falling like white feathers

Illuminated by the moon's gleam

We thought they were the tears of the stars
Beacause only the proud moon could shine to our eyes

We were very young and we tried to blow the barrier

That were forming the clouds

Our four breaths gathered by our fear

Of never see the stars again

At midnight in a chill wind

Slow motion of our bodies

In the snow sweet crackles under our feet

The heat of cold snow in our hands brought us joy

The snowballs were carrying our dreams

And in the morning the sky is rose

And the trees are statues of ice

A silence.. no singing birds

The white coat of snow purifies our souls

As it hides our fears and memories

And when the sun melts it away

We'll leave our dreams

And put our feet back on the muddy groud

Overall Meaning

The song "Snow" by Lost-Minded is a beautiful depiction of a winter night and the emotions experienced by a group of young people watching snowflakes falling from the night sky. The four people in the song are pointing at the night sky, mesmerised by the snowflakes that are falling down like "white feathers". The snowflakes are illuminated by the gleam of the moon and the four people believe that they are the tears of the stars. They are very young and they try to blow the barrier that is forming the clouds, their four breaths united by the fear of never seeing the stars again.

As the night progresses, the four people enjoy the beauty of the snow and enjoy the sound of the snow crackling under their feet. They make snowballs carrying their dreams and hopes. As the night ends and the snow melts away, they will leave their dreams and put their feet back on the muddy ground. The song is nostalgic and highlights the beauty of winter and nature.

The lyrics of the song are beautifully written with a lot of metaphors and vivid imagery. It is a poetic interpretation of snow and its beauty. The song is an excellent example of how music and lyrics can evoke emotions and memories associated with certain experiences.

If you look at it this story the right way it can be very inspiring.

Sometimes we have to go through difficult stuff in life and if we do then remembering this story can help us get through.

We can say. Ok maybe our lot is tough but it’s not as tough as what this little family went through. Wow.

They almost died.
But they made it.
And yes its a miracle.
God rescued them but they gave it their all, didn’t they.
They really deserve a medal.

All that they went through, their painful brush with death and the resulting difficult aftermath, ended up as a happy ending. The apple of their eye, their baby boy got saved.
Great things will come of this.

Now they can smile a mile wide for the rest of their lives and feel proud of themselves that they actually survived.

I’m sure they were glad to pay this price so their loveable baby boy would be spared.

The husbands extraordinary courage and determination and his wife’s too saved that child. God bless them both and their son. God helped them but they helped themselves.
A very encouraging story.

They were young and inexperienced. Everyone makes mistakes. They gave their best to solve the situation and I am glad they made it. It's wonderful to see how close their family is =)

@CaptainB007 They're stupid lol. It'll been common sense not to drive to a funeral. Not thru a snow. Should've taken the mom advice, about the risks they taken. Not worth it. They could've been perished altogether.

CaptainB007

They had a child and they were supposed to think about its safety first!

@Poe Lemic Did you not watch it? She jinxed everything when she opened her mouth. Had he listened to her they would have all died in the cave.

Poe Lemic

@hohoho hehehe Did the two of them stay together? I was kindof thinking that she divorced him, because she has a different last name now. If she didn't, she should have.

This is true. I'll give them more.

It always amazes me that people get lost and instead of turning around and going back to where they KNOW there's civilization they continue going the way that got them lost in the first place. Why?! Just why?!

BlowItOutYourCunt

To think you know how to orienteer without a compass, no knowledge or skill is utterly laughable. I can orienteer but even I could get lost despite having a map if in rough snowy terrain. Best to beat your own tracks back towards known civilization. Cheers!
