About 10 years ago I was sitting in a car blasting Umbilical outside of a coffee shop, when a middle aged mother looking lady approached my car and tapped the window making the ‘roll down the window’ sign with her hands.
I rolled down the window, and to my surprise she was asking me what I was listening to and that she really liked it. I told her the band was named ‘Lotus’ and the song was named ‘Umbilical Moonrise’.
I was expecting her to have been wanting to complain about the volume or something, but was pleasantly surprised. So pleased in fact that I ejected the disc immediately (kids, we used to have things called cd players in vehicles etc to listen to music with)
I handed her the CD, she was surprised, and tried to decline my gift. I insisted that she take it and listen to the rest of the album. I told her that it was very important that she take the CD and listen to it, it might just change her life 😂
I hope she enjoyed it, and I hope she is still listening to Lotus to this day.
