Why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that
Something ain't right
I'm so scared in case
I fall off my chair
And I'm wondering
How I'll get down the stairs
Jokers to the right
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you
Yes I am stuck in
The middle with you
And I'm wondering
What it is
I should do
It's so hard to keep
This smile from my face
Losing control
Yeah I'm all
Over the place
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you
Well you started out
With nothing
And you're proud that
You're a self made man
And your friends
They all come calling
Slap you on the back and say
Please
Please
Tried to make
Some sense at all
But I can see that
It makes no sense at all
Is it cool to go
To sleep on the floor?
You don't think
That I can take anymore
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you
Stuck in the middle
Stuck in the middle
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
(Stuck in the middle)
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
(Stuck in the middle)
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
(Oh yeah)
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you
Well you started out
With nothing
And you're proud that
You're a self made man
And your friends
They all come calling
Slap you on the back and say
Please
(I say)
Please
Well I don't know
Why I came here tonight
(Came here tonight)
I got the feeling that
Something ain't right
(Something thing
Don't feel right)
I'm so scared in case
I fall off my chair
(I am so scared)
And I'm wondering
How I'll get down the stairs
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you
Stuck in the middle with you
(Oh yeah)
Stuck in the middle of you
(Here I am)
Stuck in the middle with you
(With you, with you)
The song "Stuck In The Middle With You" by Louise, released in 1972, is a classic rock hit. The song is about a person who finds himself in an uncomfortable situation and is trying to figure out how to get out of it. He is surrounded by clowns to his left and jokers to his right, which could symbolize the people in his life who are not sincere and are not trustworthy. He is in the middle, stuck, and not sure what to do. The lyrics suggest that the situation is chaotic and difficult to handle, but the character in the song is trying to smile through his pain and maintain his composure.
The song is catchy and upbeat, but the lyrics are more thought-provoking than they may initially appear. The use of the term "stuck in the middle" is a metaphor for feeling trapped in life and unsure of where to turn. The idea that the person being surrounded by clowns and jokers is also significant, as it suggests that those closest to him are not genuine and are only interested in causing chaos.

Remember my mate driving us back from the beach in 2001 and we had this version turned up when it came on the radio singing away, can't Believe it's 21 years ago already! Louise did a great rendition of this song! Defo no insult to the stealers wheels version.

Had a big crush on 'Louise' back in the 90's! (and this video reminds me why!) Over 18 years later, and she is still looking mighty fine! Definitely still got it.
