During LSR’s initial jam session in 2006, it was apparent that they all shared the same goals: intertwine all of their musical influences and views on life, love and death to emotionally connect and sonically communicate with their audience. The chemistry was instant as front man Justin Theriault (TERI-O) and guitarist David Harris inked two tracks in their first meeting.
Along with bassist Josh Masters and drummer Scott "Smalls" McCann, LoveSick Radio hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back. Playing more than 200 shows a year on their own, LSR held opening spots for Bon Jovi, Kid Rock and The Fray. The band has performed at the most buzzed about festivals and events, sharing the stage with the likes of David Cook, Justin Bieber, Blue October, White Tie Affair, Rooney, Three Days Grace, Hinder, Safety Suit and New Found Glory.
Even with a multitude of live shows, the band found time for two tours overseas to perform for our troops.
Although unsigned, LoveSick Radio received great airplay, landing in the top 50 pop charts with their single “Boys Don’t Matter.” LSR received multiple placements on several MTV shows (including “My Super Sweet Sixteen”) and MTV2 featured the band as one of its “Bands on the Rise.”
Thanks to LoveSick Radio’s road work and live shows, the band boasts a strong, loyal fan base. The band relocated to Las Vegas in 2012 to write and worked with producer Warren Huart (The Fray, Aerosmith) on new tracks for a forthcoming album. Their first single, “Numb Me Up,” was released in October 2013. You can follow the boys in the band on Twitter: @lovesickradio, @davidlsr, @justinnterio, @masterslsr, @smalllsr.

Might as well throw some rocks at your window
Yeah But you don't seem to care, or maybe your not there
Probably out with someone else tryin' to keep in on the down low
Just so you know
I'm not taking this so well
Since I've been alone
Cuss you out in Japanese
Organize my dvd's
Play solitaire again... and I
Hear that your doing fine
Smiling all the time
But you really rub it in... when you say you're over me
And you wanna be... just friends
Hey what about the promise that you made to me
That we'd always be together and you'd be there
Everyday I wake up
I found a box of notes you wrote
Each one signed with x and o's
And b.s. - like I love you we're never gonna brake up
Just so you know
I'm not taking this so well
Now that I'm alone
I've had time to...
Cuss you out in Japanese
Organize my dvd's
Smash my sister's violin... and I
Hear that your doing fine
Smiling all the time
But you really rub it in... when you say you're over me
And you wanna be... just friends
Here I go again...
I really miss you now it's time to
Beg pretty please I'm
Pouring on the cheese
My heart may never mend
And I've punched holes in all my walls
Closed down all the malls
Smashed my sisters violin... and I
Hung our picture by the bed
You're still living in my head
At least I can pretend... that you're not over me
Cause I can't be... Just Friends
LoveSick Radio's song "Just Friends" is a song about a broken heart after a failed relationship, where one person wants to move on and be "just friends" while the other struggles to let go. The lyrics express the overwhelming emotions the person is dealing with and the lengths they go to, to try to cope with their feelings. The song opens with the person driving by their ex-lover's house, contemplating throwing rocks at their window. However, the ex-lover seems to have moved on, and the person feels left behind and hurt. They try to distract themselves from the pain by engaging in activities like organizing their DVDs and playing solitaire.
The second verse reflects on the past promises made by the ex-lover and the notes they wrote, which are now only a painful reminder of a broken heart. The chorus repeats the idea that the person cannot just be friends with their ex, and it is difficult to pretend that things are okay. They miss their ex and cannot move on, even if it is just to be friends. Towards the end, the person admits to the drastic measures they've taken to cope, such as punching walls and smashing a violin.
In conclusion, "Just Friends" is a relatable song that expresses the pain and emotions many people experience after a failed relationship. The lyrics capture the struggle to let go and move on while dealing with the overwhelming emotions.
