After collaborating on Cerrone's debut album Love In C Minor (1976), Costandinos assembled Love and Kisses in early 1977, and shortly after the group released their first album, which contained just two songs - and so was also classed as a double A-side single. These were "Accidental Lover" and "I Found Love (Now That I Have Found You)", which combined orchestral sounds, classical influences and a disco arrangement. The single charted at #1 for three weeks on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

The following year saw the release of their second album entitled How Much, How Much I Love You, (title track covered side one, "Beauty and the Beast" completed side two) utilizing the same basic formula. Both songs became top five disco hits. This was followed closely by the group's biggest hit, "Thank God It's Friday", the theme song from the film of the same name. It peaked at #23 R&B, #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #1 for six weeks on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The soundtrack, which featured Donna Summer's "Last Dance" and the Commodores "Too Hot Ta Trot", was nominated for several Grammy Awards.

Their third and final album, You Must Be Love was released in 1979, but met with less success. Shortly thereafter the group disassembled.

70's memories were stirred up big time when this song came on the radio yesterday. I had to find it on here. This was one of my favorite jams back in 1978 and 1979. An awesome hustle song. By the end of the song , with switching partners, with guys cutting in, I may have danced with 5 or 6 different dancers during this one long song. I loved every minute of it. Thank you!

My dance partner, Michael & I won 1st place at a dance contest with this song. It was Awesome cause we danced against couples from as far as Sacramento down to L.A. We of course were representing San Diego. We won an all expense paid vacation to Cabo San Lucas! God how I MISS DISCO MUSIC! I lived it & dj’d for 7 yrs during the disco craze. This was by far the best disco song to dance to hands down. Danced every minute of it. Talk about being in shape!! While this song was playing would leave my cove & go dance on the floor with others. Dance wise.... the best 7 yrs of my life. OMG! I was listening to an FM station and disco songs were playing. This song just popped into my head and now I'm hearing it on Youtube. We've come a long way people. I have to say this brought a tear to my eye just remembering how we used to dance
at Roseland Ballroom while Paco Dj'd I agree with Steven Vega this is for all of the
Hustle Kings and Queens I was just dancing in my mind doing all the lifts turns and

this is my wife most favorite song of it's era. Back in 79 when we met in Brooklyn NY, she used to dance to this song in the park (F Park) for me as my boom box was blasting by the handball courts....

Mikeat2637 You're right! This is considered one of the disco anthems. I've DJ'd since the late 60's and this along with the Stratavarious album are the real deal to that genre of music.

Oh My God!!!!! Yes!!!! ❤My sisters and I would make up dance 💃 🕺moves in our friends' basement, make our own disco balls and recreate with costumes the ACTS! Aaaahhhhh!!!! I'm literally crying 😢😭 and sharing this masterpiece with my 21 and 16 year old teenage grandson and granddaughter ❤

The classic disco anthem !!!!! Alec Costandinos was a true genius of music, along with giorgio moroder and Cerrone. They revolutionized dance music. All dance music today has eveolved from their (alwo including so many other individuals) work. Dance, house, dancehall etc., etc., etc.. I'm also trying to find a West Side Story medley done by him with Love and Kisses and i can't find it anywhere. My last option is going to unidisc in canada. If anyone knows anything please respond, Thanks.

This takes me back way back !!!I hustle my ass off with two latinas at the same time at Barney Googles on 86ST and Lexs.If i could go back in time it would be the 70"s one of the best times of my life and lets not forget the Epoca for salsa!!!
