Hailing from Oklahoma City, singer/songwriter/producer Benji Kay took lessons learned from bands from Queen to Jack's Mannequin and brought them deep into the realm of the analog synth and the T-Pain effect with his debut LP The Science of Sound in 2009. A cut from that album, "Take Control," was featured on an episode of MTV's The Real World: Brooklyn in March of that year, and immediately following the LIAS MySpace player was seeing 30,000 plays a day while the track shot to the top of the iTunes electronic charts. Benji took the royalties from this placement, packed up, and moved out to LA to make a career out of his passion.

His new surroundings have inspired three new songs, with a sound that is more natural and yet still doesn't stray much too far from Love Is a Story's electronic roots. These became The Hills EP, released August 2010.
